To recap, here’s Part 1 of my goal to transform my AoE Deluxe class Snarl into a Movieverse version of Slugfest: Movieverse Deluxe class Slugfest (WIP: Part 1)

In this part, I modified the rest of his body to give him a more distinctive (and savage) look.

    A) ALTERNATE MODE:

    1) The spikes on his tail have been sanded and smooth down to points that won’t (literally) draw blood.

    2) A wide and deep hole on bottom of tail was made for the heads of the M2 2mm x 25mm Machine Screws to fit in. New Philips-drive M2 2mm x 25mm Machine Screws replace the original Slot-drive M2 2mm x 25mm Machine Screws that hold the tail…

    and cannons in place.

    3) His alternate mode feet have been carefully carved out to form toes.

    4) The original rivets holding the upper and lower parts of his alternate mode’s front legs have been replaced with longer rivets from this ROTF Voyager Starscream part.

    5) The alternate mode head have been modified to have pointed back horns, a more closed lower jaw, and a narrower nose. The silver paint app on the snout was scraped off with an X-Acto #11 blade. Didn’t want to use 91% Isopropyl Alcohol out of fear that the black eyebrow and red eye apps would be ruined in the process.

    6) The some of the plastic at the base where the neck meets the head was carefully sanded off and smoothed down so that the head can move slightly up.

    7) Because the new rivets were a bit longer and thus stuck out at the smooth end, they were carefully trimmed them down at that end until it was level with the plastic surface and smoothed out and polished that area. As for the other side (that has the rough end of the rivet), it was carefully sanded, smoothed and polished it. Now the rivet areas of the lower front leg look more streamlined than before. The front plastic mass near the joints of front legs was carved out so that they can fold up further so that he can squat down in the front in order for his cannons to fire more powerful rounds at a target. With his spiked tail waving in this attack position, anyone who would dare sneak up behind him would be impaled.

    8) The outer face of the green hinge holding the plate halves were carefully carved out to fit the handle of the modified melee weapon which is explained later on.

    B) ROBOT MODE:

    1) The raised tips of his robot mode feet have been sanded down and smoothed out into points. Now his feet can rip through Autobot armor with one kick.

    2) The aforementioned mods to the front legs of his alternate mode allow them to fold up further when in robot mode.

    3) By immersing them in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol for 10 minutes, the black paint apps (and Autobot symbol) on the alternate mode hind legs/robot mode arms…

and the purple and silver paint apps on the robot mode chest were removed with an old, yet good toothbrush.

    4) To my surprise, I discovered a clear part inside the robot mode head served as the eyes when I disassembled it. The front of that part was carefully sanded down and smoothed out so that it can have a monocular look after I paint it in red.

    5) The horns on the front part of the robot mode head were sanded down and smoothed out into points.

    6) The bottom front of the plate halves were trimmed down so that it could move slightly above his robot mode head. Becoming somewhat of a protective canopy for his head during an attack.

    7) The spiked axe has been converted into a spiked mace with the removed, modified, and glued-on mounting cylinder of the axe blade serving as the handle.

    8) A 5/64” drillbit was used to carefully drill though the long shaft of the mace in order for a long metal rivet to fit in. this prevents the formation of stress marks when the mace is bent midway and from breaking in half.

    9) The new spiked mace is a lethal melee weapon that Slugfest can use to simultaneously beat, slash and dent any Autobot combatants.

For the finale: A new G1-esqe paint job and a Decepticon symbol sticker as the cherry on top.

I absolutely love this mold, and the mods you added to it..
What I can't stand is why did Hasbro give this guy a neon green color scheme..
