    Any way you could hide the wings? Blast off isn't supposed to have any in robot mode.

    Very cool, but I cant help looking at those inner shins. So much plastic cut off by the knee joint. It looks like a huge snapping risk.

    Hasbro could have easily retooled into a jet, your work proves it, and what are we getting a brown repaint of Slingshot!

    I've got a bunch of different combaticons done, and in the works, and at various scales! Keep an eye open! :) 

    Thanks guys! Always a pleasure to know people are interested and enjoying the work!

    Actually, I kind of like having the wings like that; I know it isn't G1, but it makes him look a bit different from the other cons!

    It's a matter of practice; just keep making projects, and you'll eventually get better and better at it!

    Yeah, I had to cut the pastic in order for the larger crotch to fit. I hate how small the original crotch sections are (seriously!), because they just look out of scale...

    I'm hoping to post some pics of this project mostly or completely painted this week! Gotta do it before Takara releases the inevitable proper shuttle CW Blast-Off. They did it for all the three combiners so far, so it would be surprising for them not to do it.....:)

    Ive had a few problems with this one, but I'll try and get some pics up in the next few days; he's pretty much painted, but the combiner port was super tight, making the head hard to fold up...
    Anyway, gotta show it off at least before Takara shows it's own shuttle Blast-olf! (Gotta assume!)

    love your progress!!!
    I have one planned from cw blades too but he's on the sidelines for now till I figure out a way for the wings...I want him g1 bot accurate with the wings folded up on his legs,yet that totally messes up alt mode as the wings will be waaaay too far forward....

    Unless you have the front of the wings attached on a swivel/hinge to the top of the legs. Then they'd just swivel down and fold back on the legs in bot mode?
    I personally kind of like the botmode Astrotrain look of the wings behind the torso so I went with that instead. Just a personal preference! :)
