This looks great what parts did you use? does it still transform?

 

Everything is from Beast Hunters Ultra Magnus. I just replaced the hips and legs with 3d print. It transforms but it scratches the paint big time, so he's now permanently in bot mode.

 

are they on shapeways?

 

Nope. I'm still learning to 3d model.

I started with puttied-up legs but, I had problems making them symmetrical, so I had to do some 3D.

 

I'm fairly new to customization how would you have hardened the clay?

It's a self hardening epoxy clay called Milliput.

Looks really good! Shame about the transformation though, maybe sanding the parts down some?

 

I already clipped and shaved some of the parts but he really does have lots of contact points that bumps and slides at each other. I solved the part where the chest rests in the crotch (since I modified the briefs); and head clearance, when I put the head inside the torso.

Can you care to put up the 3D-printed thighs on Shapeways? They make for a huge improvement to Magnus.

 

I still have to do some corrections with the 3D model. I'll create an account once it's done and announce it on this thread.

I happen to have another BH Magnus with me, so I had a pro customiser redo my concept.
