I decided that Generations Voyager Springer needed a shield to go with his sword. I never liked the gun that he comes with so this seemed like the obvious choice for his off-hand.

I didn't try to match Springer's colors, instead I just went for a general Autobot kinda color scheme, maybe Optimus owned this shield at some point  

Springer has small fins on the outside of each forearm that kind of get in the way of holding a shield. So I had to make the handle come out a fair way but overall I'm pretty happy with it. I may add a rotation joint to the handle to increase poseability, if I can be bothered.

As far as parts go I used the ends of a large postage tube (the round red thing in the last pic).
First I made a paper template of the basic shape I wanted and cut that out from one of the end caps.
Then I printed an Autobot logo and used a glue-stick to stick it to the other end cap and cut the pieces out using scissors and a hobby knife.
The corner bits are from some warhammer scraps and the handle is a part of the sprue from the warhammer bits.

 

I like it!

 

God, he could just use the shield to kill people if he wanted tol.

It does look kinda Zelda-ish. Totally unintentionaly.
Maybe I should put a yellow mark of some sort in the top center for a bit of a tri-force reference  

 

Some of you may have seen the minigun I built for Springer a little while back.
Well now that he has his hands full with the sword and shield the minigun was feeling left out.

So I made a small plug to fit the sword storage on springers back and glued it to the minigun.

Now he can store the minigun while using the sword and shield, looks badass
