    Hey there all!

So a little while ago I added TFP/Beast Hunters Voyager Shockwave to my collection because he has a totally sweet bot mode, pretty meh alt mode though, but thats just fine.

Anyway as part of his transformation he has a hose/belt thingy that runs from his back to his gun. The hose is fairly cleverly made from the tank treads in his alt mode, but the plastic used for the hose is not nearly flexible enough. It restricts him arm movement and is already showing signs of tearing.

So I decided to make him a new one.

The hose is made from mostly recycled "retail" stuff. In the last couple of pics you can see what I made the links from. Its the display base for bic cigarette lighters. The end connectors where both made from scrap plastic from the center of a roll of thermal paper for an EFTPOS printer.

I drilled a pair of holes in each of the "links" and chopped them out of the lighter display thingy. Then I threaded them all together with fishing line and used a combination of superglue and hotglue to attach the connectors.

It still needs to be painted since orange is totally the wrong color but so far so good.

I'm planning on painting it black. (lol now that song is in my head)

After that I'll probably add some detail paint to finish it off.

Edit: Just had a look at some pics of action master shockwave, lol its nearly the same shade of orange.
I'm still gonna Paint it Black

It looks great but I would prefer my Shockwave without a hose

So I got some spray paint and now the hose is painted.

I also did the tips of the spikes with silver but its not very visible in the pic.

The shop I work at sells ciggarette lighters (Bic brand). I'd ask around local shops and see if they can give you one when they run out

    Be my guest :)

You could use wire ties instead of fishing line it would be stiff and poseable.
