@Haventgrownup- I use greenstuff for sculpting (2 part kneadite or something is it's official name I think... not sure, been using it for years for figures and Warhammer 40k models) I do tend to move pretty fast once I get an idea- finishing takes a while- but I try and get started with the basic rough really quick or I spend so much time planning that i shut myself down... Yesterday I figured I might as well get a Chip ready so I banged a rough basis for him out and... well... we'll see where it goes from there... edit:Update on Chip, Sparkplug, and Dr.Arkeville
These were wicked on Hisstank and they are fantastic here! Good to see your work on Radicons! Welcome!
Found these Guardians of the Galaxy figures on clearance at Walmart and bought the whole lot! Can't wait to get started on these!!!
Okay, I had a go at Carly to get used to it. Wow, it's way harder than I expected, no where near the quality of what you've created but at least I learned a lot. Thanks for the inspiration, Lo-Wang!
That's awesome! ...and i think she looks great- especially first time working on a human alliance- Are you working on Spike too? Did a quick 'LaserBeak kidnapping Sparkplug' picture... balancing those two together on a wire... now that was a pain!
Big props to Lo-Wan for this idea, had to do them for my MPs. Here is my Spike and Carly. Currently working on Sparkplug and Raoul!!!
WOW. That is inspiring. They scale very nicely. I've been looking for the next thing to take my MP display to the next level. I remember seeing those GOTG figures warming pegs for months. What other figures did Hasbro put out in that scale?
This gave me the idea to do a Mulder and Scully from the X-Files. Right now I have a Drax that I am going to make A.D. Skinner. Awesome work man!
These are the mainline toys Hasbro put out for Guardians of the Galaxy, so they should be readily available in lots of different shops. It looks like Avengers: Age of Ultron toys are out now (in the UK anyway) as well so maybe more of them will be suitable fodder for this kind od customisation too.
