This custom is for my 8yr old for Xmas. He was watching G1 in Netflix and liked the G1 colors of Grimlock vs the Generations he had, so I figured I would help him out. Thought he could use the diorama with it as well, maybe enjoy it a little more. Figured, what is neater than Grimmy trouncing through Lava... Question/Comments welcomed..

Your son should love it. And the lava is perfect, though I was almost hoping to see a Constructicon stuck in the lava like in the episode "Heavy Metal War".

Sure, np. The base is cork glued over wood. The back and front right burnt wood sections are mulch from my yard. The parts he is standing on are front pieces of cork pulled apart and glued together. Also, a few pieces of styrofoam pulled apart for different texture. Arcylic paints with a Flat sealer.. not much to it...

I think the best customs come from love, and this is definitely an example.

using and painting the mulch from the yard is genius! I couldn't place those pieces. That's the thing I have with styrofoam. It always looks like styrofoam!

    thanks
