So this mold sucks. He's stumpy and that bothered me the most. With a little knife work, you can make his hips transform and be reversible. It puts the wheels on the insides of his legs, but it adds a good deal of height and remains transformable with no partforming. You have to cut a slot in the hips to allow the gray rod to swing the other way, and cut away a bit of the gray rod and the sides of the black crotch piece to make room for the wheels.

He still sucks, but at least he's a little taller now. A tip: It's a lot easier to do if you pop the wheels off first.

This is the lockdown mod I've been waiting for. All the others involve parts forming, seriously weird proportions, or severally limited articulation, and this one doesn't! I just picked up lockdown today on sale for 10 bucks and can't wait to do this, and the door panel mod to him!

    Yeah it does.

This is probably the best mod I've seen for it, though. Like others have said, simple, doesn't parts form, and retains the stability of the mould.

Not enough to make me want to buy it again of course, but still the best.

Take the unmodified figure in bot mode. Make him do the splits and spin the legs around 180 degrees at the hips. Bend his legs back down for robot mode. You can't do it because plastic is in the way. Cut away what blocks it from doing that. First you need to cut the right angle off the gray bars that prevent the legs from bending that way, after that it's just clearing a path for the gray bars and wheels.

Normal X-acto knife. The plastic is pretty soft and thin on most parts.

Hmm, this almost makes him worth it! I went from a "nope" to a "might pick up on discount".

    Thanks triple M.

    It's not bad.

I'm weird because I like the figure as is.

Good pics - and yes, he still sucks. There's really no saving this mold, only making it slightly less suck from certain angles. Huge wheel balls is one possible.

I just came to the realization that most of my latest toy pics involve shots of modified crotches. I am disturbed.

    Welcome to my madness Sponge!

Lol, no problem, my lockdown came out of the box broken in half, so I had 0% hesitance in moding it.

    Thanks for your mod!

am i the only one that actually likes this mold? anyway, this sure improves it a bit
yeah i know it is far from being perfect but is way better than other molds that are too popular and overrated
    anyway
