You could use an iGear Ironhide or Ratchet, they're not far off MP size and would be perfect for the Mystery Machine especially, bit small though for the A-Team van though. If you do the A-Team van though, you'd be obligated to do Faces Corvette as well . As for the General here, looking mighty fine, the chest is exceedingly wide, but that can't be helped I suppose. It's going to look great all painted up Purdy.
I don't mind one bit! In fact I love to see what others can do so I can "steal" their ideas! Very interested to see what you come up with for the head. And a bow and arrow combo sounds amazing! Though, of course, the arrow would have to be a flaming and exploding laser, haha! Pretty sure this is the kit I used. I picked it up at Hobby Lobby. I had thought of that, but that seems like an expensive base figure. One of the best things about using the Z car base is how "cheap" they are. Believe or not, the front clip is actually narrower than the Delorean! Not by much, but it is. In a perfect world, 1:28th Delorean and General Lee models would exist. Or OR 1:25th MP Prowls.
As crazy as it sounds...I could almost go for a two headed deal with Bo and Luke heads made from star wars crossovers or something. Still watching!
for daisybot you could just use an alternators jeep mold and mod the robot mode to be more feminine, or just reshell one of these MPs with her roadrunner and give the robot mode daisy dukes and various other tweaks to make it look like a fembot.
You need to get a pic of all these iconic car bots together, the back story could be they are a crack team of cybertronian specialists that had there alt modes scanned from a car display/movie memorabilia museam.
I've made a little progress, but I've been pretty busy as of late. Hopefully with Christmas vaca coming up, I'll be able to get some good time in on the project. I definitely want to get it done. Don't want it to turn into a forever WIP.
I think the length of the feet look stellar, actually. Even tho' they're long, the proportions are still right, and it plays off of the upper half of the body perfectly, providing a bit of balance. If the feet were the size of the unmodded base figure then the torso would look way too wide. Loving this, can't wait to see the fig finished.
Love it. I always wanted a TF Side Line of "celebrity vehicles" from TV & movies. This would be first on my list. Then the A Team & Knight Rider. I probably would've made the General as Windcharger cuz he was a muscle car. But the more appropriately named bit would've been Cliffjumper.
Sorry. This all stems from James Best passing away, which got my wife to pull up you tube clips of the Dukes, which got my 4 year old son OBSESSED with the Dukes of Hazzard, which got me thinking about somebody doing a General Lee custom transformer... Quite a treat seeing my kid watching the shows intro 5000 times, and realizing it's like looking back in time. I was his age when the show was on, & I watched it religiously every Friday night...
The funny thing is I was just wondering if somebody had done a General Lee custom. Would be sweet to see this finished.
