Like most customizers I looked at Jetfire and thought, great starting point. I didn't really dig the lots of little weapons look so I started with his gun, cut it up added bits and glued it back together, I also wanted to bulk him up so I altered his leg guns into some bell bottom thrusters, added forearm armor and two versions of shoulder pads. Most people like the vents better than the rounded shoulders. I used white mixed with flat aluminum in a few shades and a darker red with a semi gloss coat over top. The visor is a different red but it doesn't really show in the pics. I had to use my phone but I think the pics turned out pretty good. Thanks for looking.

I like the shoulder pad idea. Where did those parts come from? Overall, this looks very nice :)

Loving those white leg boosters and those arm covers. Way to think out of the box. might copy that from you man. :)

Btw since you add something on leg boosters, is there anyway you can retractable wheels?

That looks great! The leg boosters are a great touch and the shoulders also really help. I dig the rounded shoulders especially. Nice job!

These boosters are my favorite version so far man. I also like how you cobbled up the gun as well. Very creative and very cool!

I also second the request of please showing us how you built his gun.

    Keep rocking man!

Ok, I'm really kinda digging this...I like the shoulder vents and the replacement of the black for the gray. The pain is a little rough in some areas, but the over-all concept is pretty appealing.

Thanks guys!! I forgot to mention I clipped the tail wings but we all know I didn't come up with that idea. Thank you sir!!
The vent shoulders were cut of a Gundam figure set I got about 12 years ago, it's been slowly used for parts since. The rounded shoulders were cut off the torso of a neo shifter. I then put Vaseline in the shoulder cavities and squished green stuff in to make sure the shape would be a tight fit.
I cut the gun off the top of the leg booster and the vent off the bottom and then I stuck the vent on the top. I used toothpaste caps to make the bottom part of the booster. I cut them to fit tight around the ankles. There's a left and right "shoe" now. I had a bunch of toothpaste caps left over from the Cybertron I made.
I cut the barrel off the gun then cut it down the middle to put it on the sides of his gun. The long barrel and under piece is from an armada Galvatron tank turret. The back piece is from the "pushy" piece from dotm Skyhammer's mechtech weapon (btw, his missile launchers fit in Jetfire's forearms and I thought about them for the shoulders). The pieces on the forearms are from the silly guns that came with Generations Bumblebee.
Thanks again for your interest everybody!!!

Great work on this guy! I'm really diggin' the thought of turning the leg guns into thrusters and thanks for the tip on the toothpaste caps! And I'm SOOOOOO glad you filled in the cavities in the thighs and biceps. I really hate those cavities and filling them in makes this figure look so much more solid.

I didn't know the name of the Gundam when I got it. It came out around the time as the Gundam Wing 3" ish figures. The figure itself was white like most of them, but the vents were cut off of a tank/jet accessory that it came with.
Hokieken, glad you like that the thighs and arms are filled in. I used those little tubes that hold kids glow rings together. I wanted it to look like pistons or something instead of just a flat piece.

Looking good. I think my favorite innovation that you put together was the mod to the leg boosters. I might try emulating that with mine.

Here are the remnants I could find. There's also a little space ship in the same colours but I don't know where that is. You can see where I cut the vents off of the front of the blue and red wing parts.
I hope you guys share what you do to your Jetfires. Thanks for the continued interest.
