These were done for a bud that's a pretty big Turtle fan. I swapped Raph's and Don's head pieces for them to look more natural, added a few scrapes on the chest shells, and then did a full repaint with added two-tone freckles and shading.

Nice work. I am regretting not picking these figures up now.

BTW did you mean that you swapped Leo's and Raph's heads? Donny's seem to be the stock one.

Yeah, you're right. I just couldn't remember which one I switched with Raph.

    Thanks for all the comments!
I rarely do non-TF stuff, so these were pretty fun to do. My next project is to assemble and paint an old Inteleg Cthulhu vinyl kit. That'll take a while. It's huge, and a total pain to build (very bad joint edges, tons of flash and lors of filler/sculpting will be needed.

The heads are solid rubber, attached to the body with a mushroom joint. I doubt anything made threogh Shapeways would be able to survive the pressure of snapping it into place. Besides, the soapstone texture of that stuff looks awful and would stand out.

what year u actually had a shapeways in hand? :D
cuz i guarantee u the latest ultra detail polished would be on par with original
except it would cost a fortune, simply saying SW stuff is no option is to harsch (no i dont hany any stocks lol) ;)

but again like my first comment, what u did is absolutely awesome paintjob!

Hahaha this is the most creative repaint project I've seen so far.
