(Update) TF Prime Knockout Costume (Full Rig)

Hey there guys! I realize I have posted about this many places but not yet on TFW2005 so I wanted to take the opportunity to share here!

This has been a labor of love of mine and my friend's for the past 3 months.

Transformers Prime Knockout is a character deserving of much love. I have desired to create a new TF costume for a while now since my last one back in 2011 with Animated Jazz. What better character to do then the Stylish Decepticon Doctor himself.

We have both put in about 500 hours each into this costume mainly working every weekend keeping to a tight schedual in order to reach our goal.

All in preparation for TF Con Chicago coming up here in 11 days. Between manning my table in the vending hall, I will be in the costume most likely Thursday, Friday, and briefly on Saturday.

Here are some Photos of the completed elements of the costume. The fully assembled rig will not be pictured completely put together in this form until after the event when we debut the costume.

Besides Knockout appearing at TF Con Chicago, my friend will also be in her Starscream costume. (also pictured below from Botcon 2014)

Together we plan to ham it up IC! ;)

    Notes:

    • Wheels Spin
    • All lights, biolights, and Optics light up
    • built in bluetooth speakers for acurate character voice representation utilizing link up to phone or tablet.
    • Basic Spring mechanism/foot rigging alow for show accurate walking in the toe/legs
    • Right Pointer finger has built in touch screen Stylus and interchangeable pen for writing and use of a phone/tablet while in costume.
    • optional battery powered fans for cooling occupant.

for more pictures and videos check out The Work Log

    .

    Update:

Hey guys Here is a link to the making of the costume with the end having the final completed and assembled costume!!

There are not words for the awesomeness of this. The quality of the work is outstanding. I am guessing you used football shoulder pads as a base for the shoulder assembly. I can wait to see the finished costume. Your Starscream is amazing.

Absolutely brilliant work! You look as though you'll be able to transform! I can hear Daran Norris' voice when I look at the helmhat.

Incredible, that and your Starscream are pure perfection. You should totally do Soundwave, Dreadwing, and Predaking.

    Hey thank you so much!

We did make Starscream a glowing "Dark Energon Shard" prop just recently. :)

Dude that would be cool of they did that like with their masterpiece! Put a small speaker and blue tooth tech in the toy then have an app and code to get the voice clips for that character! XD
