Finally Got my second Porsche body in. Both are Kyosho Mini-z . One is a 934 and the other is the 1977 935. Did a little work preparing it for the arrival of my K O Smokescreen. Front clip and the rear engine cover and spoiler from the 935 and the body from the 934.Well , I think I finally have a close enough for me Jazz body . Now to wait for my donor bot. edit- after doing some research, I'm thinking that TT may have went with something around 1/30 these are around 1/28 scale. The Datsuns had a wheelbase of 2303.78 / 90.7 inches. The Porsche 911 had a wheelbase of 2272 mm / 89.4 in. Just over an inch from one car to the other. The Porsche bodies I have are roughly ( in real world specs ) about a foot longer. Good luck finding that sized Porsche.
Awesome! Are you going to go with the current MP style and make it cartoon accurate (no doors, may be no wheels) or keep it stock smokescreen transformation?
I was gonna try and tuck the doors under the roof and the wheels into the chest cavity where the arms are in car mode. But I'm still waiting on my Smokescreen to arrive.I really can't bring myself to cut up the official bot.lol
Looking forward to seeing the progress...nice that you were able to find such close enough scaled vehicle donors...
Woo Hoo !! K o Smoke arrived today. Instant tear down.Attachment hole for the windshield ,on the back, is cracked . oh well . Keep on workin... I have the front of the car mounted. It looks a little on the large side. I'm o k with that too. But, I do think I have a problem with the neck. I believe, I may make it a little shorter. Thanks for looking...
Glad to see it's underway! Head is a little high so I agree that you should shorten neck up a bit. I'm anxiously awaiting more!
This is looking great. I love how you've taken parts from two cars to put together a very accurate Jazz - nice!
Lieutenant Jazz , You got legs! edit- Don't really know about the wing. lol it is awfully big back there.
I am convinced my new job is trying to kill me.lol I work all week with no time for my toys, But in the past week , I have managed a few tweaks to jazz. Jazz now sports a set of Gundam hands. Fully articulated. Shin flaps are attached and work. Now I just have to make them look like anything but flat sheets of styrene. And, Lastly, I tried to get Repo'ed Labels to custom me some Jazz stickers. Not happening. So I found an emblem sheet on ebay and, it just came in. Just waiting for warmer weather so I can paint.
Well... Looks like the closer I get to finishing things the quicker someone puts out a real honest to goodness product. I say bring it on TnR. lol. Fresh pics puts me a little closer .....to realizing I can't paint.
Haha, your title is so relatable... This has come along nicely. I feel like his fingers are a touch long, but I suppose that's part of the tradeoff when you have individual finger articulation.
