Phenomenal. I'm curious how you made the nose cone section, as nicely curved as it is, and as solid. Is it solid styrene, or is it filled with something?
Good lord that's a lot of styrene, think you will add more detail through paneling or painting, just curious as to the asthetic you are going for, like flat stark chunktastic bot who's lack of intricate detail only adds to the animation model resemblance, or closer to the mp "look at all the tiny details that look awesome but don't overwhelm the characters G1 appearance too much" Great work so far!
Thanks. The nose section and bot mode chest are mede out of pvc foam, sculpted and sanded down. It's not the toughest material but very nice to work with and after being painted really there's no problem with it. I'll keep it simple and cartooney.Just planning to add some detail since it's a voyager sized figure,it needs a bit more detail then his annimation gave us. I think a few original toy nods shall do the trick
Interesting. You glued together sheets of the foam and then sculpted? It's durable enough not to worry about denting it?
No,it's a 10 mm thick sheet so I didn't need to make layers. It will dent if you drop it hard enough but I didn't have styrene piece that thick do I said what the hey..I have to say when I do stuff for anyone apart from myself I make it as hard as possible.
