So I decided to move the nose cone mount for my Leader Class Jetfire. I also didn't like the big friggen hole it left behind so I had to do something about that also..So a little baked sculpty. (That Part is baking right now) The hole filled in with sculpty and the piece ready to be baked.
Ok. I think I am done..... for now. So first thing. The super glue wasn't really holding the connector in place. Sooo what I ended up using was a really small flat head wood screw (from an old wood project kit (part of a hinge)) that worked perfectly.. Finished the plug for under the nose. (Debating if I should paint it..) You can also see I de-chromed and painted the weapons. (not my best paint job but oh well) His main rifle now sits under the fuselage (Macross style) The only downside is, he cant sit flush on his wheels with his cannon under him. But this will look good on a flight stand. I trimmed off the tail fins.. (much better). I did keep the go pack chromed. I like the way that looks.. Comments and constructive crit always welcome..
Good job! I will be doing the same to my Jetfire. I will also be repainting the main canon so that the whole thing is black.
And I thought I would be the only one to clip the tail fins lol The moved gun mount is perfect, and i may do that. Currently have the weapons soaking to remove the chrome.
