The attachment system is pretty easy. How you could not understand that is beyond me.

There was a few instances where I was uploading pics partially and my browser just went blank and I had to re-do the entire process. It's not that much work but it can get rather tedious. Know what I mean? Just a suggestion though.
Please post a thread about this in the Tech Support forum asking if Tony_B can do this

In other words, if I run across someone who hasn't attached their images, give them a friendly reminder that they need to and why (so it preserves the images and sticks to the rules). Just trying to think of ways to help you guys out so that you can actually have some time to work on your own respective projects (trust me, I know the feeling--I have so much going on with life, my dogs, my fiancee, her father's cancer treatments, S70 site stuff, my own WIP projects, and the fact that I enjoy helping everyone out who may need it on their own projects). I just don't want you guys getting overwhelmed and not being able to do what you want to do--I'd love to see more work from you guys, but I also know how time consuming some of this stuff is.

As for that question, Andy--sometimes I hit Radicons through TFW's link to it, sometimes I hit it through S70's link to it, and sometimes I just leave windows open for both S70 and Radicons and drop back in when I'm not busy. I do visit the Radicons front page probably every other day, just to check and see what's new.
You've not stepping on anyone's toes when you tell them to attach their images. I'd love to see other Radicons simply helping other Radicons more It's another principle upon which we operate.

In terms of helping out, the more people are devoted to Radicons and less to other places by default helps out more. Quite simply, when I contribute it's here because I know that if I'm contributing anywhere else, I'm not doing so here. The less our customs community is spread out is the better.

I can totally understand. Nothing worse than having the "bandwidth exceeded" sign instead of a pic, or other issues. It's quite frustrating, actually.

And it really is easier to attach images, then to copy/paste them.

Is there a way to disable image code/links to photo hosting sites so as to force people to use the attachment feature? You can copy and paste as many links to the guidelines section as you want, but there will always be people that are new, ignorant to the rules, and/or too stubborn to listen. It'd save you a lot of time and work if you could implement some sort of filter or blocker to image hosting sites.

Honestly, it's just a painful waste of time to be going around, modifying posts, closing threads, and reprimanding and banning members. I'm sure you're all fed up (REDLINE's post is indicative of such), but you need to come up with something that eliminates the problem entirely.

That would make the most sense.

Forcing people to attach would solve some of the headaches,of course,Some form of edit picture software would help too.

That would eliminate any excuses as to why they don't attach.

I've noticed this trend as well, and I think it's (mostly) due to an influx of new members who just copy-paste their thread content from other boards where it's the norm to use external image hosting sites. I would imagine that most people would probably not try to actually read up on the board rules (I know I wouldn't) when they sign up.

But yeah, it's not an excuse and I totally agree that attaching the images to your thread is much better. Like tamo said, maybe disabling the ability to post images sourced from external image hosting sites would be a good way to force people to attach their images.

I'm looking for an RID Prime (ultra class), loose but complete/great condition will do. PM me if you have one for sale!

I think part of the reason you see 1 attached image with the rest coming from a host site is the default thread picture. People want to showcase their work with a brand new pic each time there's a significant update as opposed to having to delete and re-upload the images.
