I'd like to say that I extend my prayers and heart out to you with all you've dealt with mentally and emotionally. I think many of the other Radicons can back up what I'll say here: this place is more than a board, and it's more than a place to look at art work and hang out - Radicons are a genuine community of really cool guys. I've made some of my dearest friends through this very board, and I hope you (and the rest of the illustrators) will find all of the same things. The absolute bottom line is that you have me a pm away. I'd also like to tell you personally on our public forum that your artwork has fueled my own endeavors for some time. Your illustrations continue to blow me away, and I've saved many on my hard drive (only to be able to view your work offline). I'll also say that your Classics Starscream illustration for the TCC profile is one of my absolute favorite TF illustrations ever. There are times when I've sorta lost my umph to get going with some TF art, and I look at your work and I'm fueled once again. Keep up the great work man I find it interesting that you're doing some 3-D stuff with projects to relieve some stress. REDLINE and I were talking the other night about our custom processes, and he was very surprised to find that I like sanding parts [sometimes]. There is much about the artistic process of creating work that is very therapeutic. Keep creating, Radicon MACRAPTRON!

She's OK (praise God), but her car is not. When it was towed into the repair shop (it was feasibly fixable), it was totaled out. Now we must shop for a new car for her, which is not something we'd counted on financially. On the up side, the weather is warming up, and I'm hoping to start back into customs a bit more. I've gotta start yard work this week though (millions of leaves on the ground). I also want to repair the ceiling I mentioned to you guys earlier as well as building my photo booth. I'll keep you guys posted ![]() |

As for the weather, I am loving it too. I spent about 10 hours in my backyard doing yardwork. The lady who lived here before me - i don't think ever did anything. I have several pine trees in the yard, and several years of pine needles to rake up (still working on that) I went to walmart and home depot for tools for the yard. Lemme tell you - DON'T buy tools from Walmart, they suck. I bought a leaf blower thinking I could save a few bucks - 10 minutes into using it, it caught fire and exploded. Luckily I had a hose nearby...and I bought a rake from Walmart, it snapped in half in about 3 minutes. Stupid walmart.

![]() I'm VERY glad Lisa is ok, too. She can't be replaced. When I first got the call Tuesday at work, I knew it wasn't good. It's literally taken me the rest of the week to even physically feel better from that initial shock. Again, I'm GRATEFUL to God she is ok. The car can be replaced, but not easily. It'll be a strain, but I think we can handle it. We just need prayers and blessing. ![]()

Car accidents are no picnic and I am glad your Wife was able to walk away from it. It was 4 years ago when my Fiance was in a really bad car accident, she wasn't as lucky and spent a month in a hospital and several surgeries later I now call her the Bionic Woman(she's a good sport) as she has probably a good 5 lbs. of titanium hardware inside her. I feel you on having to buy a new car, best wishes on that. Good thing the car economy is good for buyers, if you can get a new one the amounts of deals they have and special financing is crazy right now, definitely shop around for a while if time permits.

In other news, my last physical therapy appointment is this coming week. While I'm still not 100% (and won't be for a while), I'm close to 100%. Most of all I have left is just regaining my lost strength. Also, I've been working on some things this past week in terms of customs. I've painted/modded two heads for two new guys. I'm still WAY behind on photo galleries, but as you can see other things have taken priority. I still want to build my new photobooth, but I've got to replace the ceiling first ![]()

| longer days, plz? ![]() ![]() Join Date: Dec 2004 Posts: 27,861 Location: Cape Girardeau, MO Collection Count: 361 News Credits: 3 | I'm actually in the middle of 3 WIPs, for the first time in what, 9 months? I did a couple really minor things over that time, but really minor, and these are full-fledged projects. As Allen already knows, I've been masking off a lot of parts the last couple of days in preparation for spraying. I'm quite excited for two of these three! I know THAT has people saying "wha?" but I'm just going to leave you hanging for now lol. |

Hey all just wanted to let you know that i wont be able to bash for a short while. hopefully very Short. My wife and I are purchasing our first home which means lots of packing, paper work, and all the good stuff that goes with it. when all is said and done the new house should give me a lot more space to work on my customs. I will still be able to check the boards daily but wont, be able to post any new customs until we get settled. Please Pray for my little family as this is totally new for us. Very exciting. God willing we can close on the house early. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/items-...ead-sales.htmlhttp://www.tfw2005.com/boards/wanted...nt-update.html http://thepostapocalypsereport.com/ |

I hope all goes well, my friend! Your latest 'bash was epic for you, and I think once you get back into things you'll be picking right up where you left off! ![]() * * * * * In my personal bit of update, we were able to get Lisa a replacement vehicle this past week. We've had just a tiny bit of drama with it the last few days though because the windshield was cracked the very next day! We're getting it replaced tomorrow though. She also went to have her back checked since she's had abnormal pain. We're still waiting to hear back on it, but the doc said it's definitely treatable. Gotta say that it's good we're insured ![]() I'm a bit under the weather (again). Going to the doc Monday, though. I really don't think I healed well from my bout of strep through. Hopefully, I don't have mono or something. I had my last wrist therapy session today, and it went well. Currently, I'm just a bit shy of normative status. The doc said that I'll be healing for the rest of the year before I just don't notice anything anymore. With as much as I use my hands, I'm very grateful that this is where I am. ![]() In terms of customs, I just finished up two new heads last week. I'm getting ready to reapproach my Yellow Fever SRT-10 that I started last summer. I want to review the robot mode and let some ideas simmer for a bit before I return to paint. I really wanted to finish my Alt Cosmos before we featured Billy in December, but it just didn't happen. I placed the project on hold the other day because I want to be revitalized again before I return to the project. I really want to get back to more full-scale projects again, but I've been having a blast with simple head swaps (e.g., heads that I paint and add to different figures, not simply taking one head and placing it on another body with neither part unmodified). I've learned the hard way in the past that it's best to follow where the creative energy is, rather than try to force things at times. I've also found myself rethinking old projects that have a very high level of completion as well. This year was a bit odd, as my customs "anniversary" kinda came and went without giving much thought into it. The last few years January has been a slightly bigger deal because it was when I completed my first project. It still doesn't feel like a "big deal", but I guess that my thoughts started drifting towards my past projects some because of it. *shrugs* Also, with continuing to work on the illustration section of Radicons, I continue to find myself more and more inspired with 2D illustrations. My straight repaints are coming closer and closer to an end, and then I have a few reshells I'll switch to [I simply want to bust through my repaints first]. I've been fiddling around with my Iron John illustration, and just approaching it again inspires me more and more. Many of the Radicons' illustrations as well as recent TF comic books continue to fuel this. I found myself having a fanfic dump session this past week too. I really hope these things continue ![]()
