Rubsigns are sometimes used INSTEAD of faction symbols, like with the Classics or the G1 minibots. And sometimes, like Bumblebee's chest, they're in a location where the faction symbol rightfully belongs. A soldier's allegiance should be front and center, barring their being a spy or something.
