Yep, that's about right. I'd say I'm a bit f a fan but mostly it's a recent interest. I think BanG Dream! has been installed on my phone for like a month but I only actually opened the app for the first time less than a week ago.
I also only started to play the game a couple of days ago. Maybe it's just me being not that good in rhythm games, but I really has some trouble to complete full-combo on even some of the easiest songs in the game.
Honestly I don't blame you. I've played a good number of rhythm games and I'd like to say I'm fairly competent at them, but bandori really throws me off. I think it's the slanted perspective? I'm not really used to it so I think that might be my problem.
That may contribute as well. I still think that it's a fun game, but I would prefer newcomers to play SIF first as I don't think BanG Dream! is the most newbie friendly rhythm games out there.(In my opinion)
A bit unrelated, most of the band members in this game is very quirky, especially with the Hello! Party World! members been the most unusual and weird among the bunch.
It's fun enough when I can play but I typically don't end up playing songs until I've cleared out all the story scenes and stuff for the moment. Which in bandori can certainly take up quite a bit of time.
That's a fair opinion I'd say. SIF never really got me hooked but its simpler style is a decent entry point. Though I'd say it feels a bit cluttered sometimes.
