Well, I've now finished the first portion IDW's G.I. Joe comics. Interesting spin on things. The Cobra series in particular were really gritty.
The one shot that introduces Agent Helix, titled G.I. Joe: Helix Special, is no where to be found on the IDW app. I couldn't even find it on iBooks.
Well, I've now finished G.I. Joe Origins, the chronological first series in the IDW continuity. Some of the arcs I enjoyed more then others. And I'm currently a third of the way through the first ongoing series.
Neither do I. Ultra Magnus, Hound, Arcee, Shockwave, Megatron, Star Saber, Thunderwing, Unknown Evil, and Optimus Primal. If it's Shockwave or Thunderwing, that means resurrection for them.
Yeah, a lot of characters on there that could mean interesting things for IDW. Not sure who I want to vote for.
I read the entire Transformers comics from the beginning(Marvel and IDW), and I recently read the entire original run of G.I. Joe RAH(I'm also part way through IDW's continuation). This should be no problem. :)
Well, I've copied a list of the whole series in proper reading order. All 196 issues. Tomorrow I start with G.I. Joe Origins.
Sure the consensus is overall mixed. But that didn't stop me from reading AHM and the Ongoing for Transformers.
I've also officially decided I'm going to read all the previous G.I. Joe IDW comics. Primarily in order to familiarize myself with the incarnations of these characters.
And I liked MASK more then I was expecting. Like I said in the thread, a real Fast and Furious vibe to it.
Only three issues left to go. Then IDW's new status quo will be established. And the last main issue, we're going to get to see all the heroes fight together. :)
I actually doubt the whole thing'll be silent because there's just too much to do without any dialogue.
