Don't worry! :D Yes I'll keep you up to date regarding the PS4. In an interesting turn of events, it looks like I might possibly get a new apartment next month. It's a small chance, but if that happens, no funds for entertainment for a while.
Sorry, man. I likely won't invest in a system that currently only has 2 games that tickles my fancy. There needs to at least be a handful of titles I really want before I would dip. One might make an exception if Gears 4 would happen to be the best game in the franchise.
There needs to be an easter egg in the new game where the characters shout "KRYLL" like in the past games.
I remember the Gears 3 bots doing something similar.. Running around with a gosh darn smoke grenade in tight situations. GG.
I'm getting some grim flashbacks from Mann vs Machine in Team Fortress 2 now :lol Playing with strangers can be downright torture.
You need to "Git Gud". And don't worry, I have not forgotten about letting you know whether or not I will be picking up Doom for PS4. Still need to see the reviews first and then hopefully if I have enough moolah for a PS4.
I would be lying if I said that I didn't like the old gnasher. Something about blowing your victim to bits up close and personal. I've always loved shotguns in video games.
I too prefer the classic Hammerbust. Shit, it's even in the name. Also, inb4 all sorts of complaints about the GUR-NA-SHUR.
Perhaps the Retro was the least "controversial" weapon of the two? It still does seem pretty weird to keep it out of the beta.
---------- 10 maps at launch, predicted 36 by the end. ---------- That's a lot of DLC maps then. As for the Sawn Off, it's probably for the best to keep it out. You know, if anything, just in an attempt to keep the whining to a minimum.
Map packs can be pretty dangerous for a game. You're dividing the community. Remember the insane amount of different playlists in Gears 3 and Judgment? Free maps wouldn't make sense from an economical standpoint, or would it? It has worked pretty well in the past for shooters on PC. And I'm certain that they'll still sell those weapon skins and what not on the side like with the last 2 games.
That.. sounds pretty similar to the business model in MOBA's. And those are free to play games, usually. Eeehugh..
Let me guess. More "season pass pay up front for potentially meh content which we won't bother to announce in advance"? Or is it worse.
See, this is why we need smell-o-vision technology. Screw virtual reality, this should be the next big thing.
