Did a few quick and dirty digibashes now after some observations on said figures... For one, as optibotimus pointed in his review... FoC Air Raid, which looks *nothing* like the in-game model... with a bit more black and wings hidden... makes a *very* convincing Rewind: The next (and one that prompted me to make the digibashes) was the Takara Tomy version of this retool... Intended to be Fire Flight presumably... but again... does it resemble what *any* Aerialbot looked like in the game? Not really... with a bit more colors than Air Raid -> Rewinder... he makes a pretty darn good Bainzaitron tho! Change the head crest for better effect though. Lastly... if you own FoC Prime and Magnus... a simple head swap gets you FoC Powered Convoy's unarmored mode. Repaint the head and fists to obtain a convincing and very quick custom... Paint the legs black for full effect.
^ Good stuff. Now make that thread in the main Radicons section! ;p So as many here might've seen already: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/727178-foc-optimus-prime-his-armor.html <-- this nifty idea about giving the rather small FoC Prime figure a big beef armor set. seali_me was tweaking it up a good bit when I realized.. the Cybertron Defense Red Alert "trailer" works soooo well to represent FoC Magnus' proper in-game alt mode... So... here's the digibash for it: Plus this... Equals...
Will do when I get home from work tonight, also did a little extra painting on his arms and fists, thinking I might need to do the same with his lower half as well as the UM white just washes out everytime I take a pic.
You know Air Raid/Fireflight reminds me a lot of Chromedome, even though he's a jet. Wonder if that could work
Um... obviously you have not played the game. Fire Flight never actually appears in game at all but yes the toy was originally intended to be Fire Flight and apparently had to be changed for copy right reasons. You could make something that looks like the toy in the character creator and I think the toy was designed as sort of a way to play on that custom feature in the game so he's basically a character who does not actually have an official game model. Silverbolt and Air Raid were the only original Aerialbots to appear in the game with Jetfire thrown in just because he's a jet.
Replace the wings with wheels, and the translucent purple and his "lights" with bright green, and FoC Shockwave becomes Transtech Shockwave
