Not even Rumble and Frenzy. At best we get a non-committal "Classics Springer is a possibility" to placate the masses. BOOOOOOOO!!!
We'll at least get a few things that's not FoC. But I'm hoping for some G1 Classics myself. I was totally excited for Soundwave but then totally disappointed after reading it was based on the Fall of Cybertron design. Meh.
I don't play the games, but I kinda like the WFC/FOC aesthetic. I only have WFC Soundwave right now, but I want to get FOC Shockwave and OP. I might also get Brawl since he looks nice and beefy, but they can keep the other Combaticons.
I'm perfectly fine with mostly FOC, though I wouldn't be against seeing some MTMTE characters and maybe some beast wars or something later on.
They said that folks. Don't worry besides Shockwave, Kickback, Soudnwave and Grimlock will fit just fine in the collection.
Hopefully they are saving some of the Classics stuff for the 30th Anniversary part of the line, which could be in the mid-2013 to mid-2014 timeframe. But it definitely was a rough show for Classics fans, watching RiD Scourge repaint of RtS Laser Prime go to the Club and only showing FoC stuff by Hasbro. Even the remolded heads from instruction sheets in Generations/RtS figures - they can't even get ANY of these out? At the moment I am looking forward to FoC Shockwave, and that is going to be my sole Transformers purchase for a long time. +-MWG-+
I'm enjoying your dissapointment folks. the scary part is you will all buy this stuff up in a year from now,
I dunno. The WFC/FoC stuff feels more G1 to me than Generations/Classics ever did, anyway. So I'm fine with that.
