You really are greedy aren't ya? 50 damn dollars for a fucking toy that just came out?! Seriously?! How pathetic is that? I hope people can manage some restraint (but they won't) and refuse to buy your figures and you end up being stuck with them.

Thank GOD that I collect figures to enjoy them...and not to make MONEY off of toys! I have a Vehicon and I opened it up, transformed it a few times, and put it on my shelf along with all the rest. When I find a few more, I will do the same thing. THEN, if I find even more I will buy them, and sell them at cost to members here who are being screwed over by hoarders who will sell them for 50 bucks.

So many auctions from California with the Vehicon up for sale. Makes me wish that the State would just fall off and sink into the ocean. lol

I'm sure that some of you will side with the money-grabbers, since you probably sell toys yourself at some point and have made a nice profit. I guess I have a better perspective on life as to live without greed being a major priority.

Oh well, Ebay scammers. Enjoy your money, and your empty hollow life.

But seriously, if they're scalping Vehicons then so be it. At some point they'll hit saturation and you too will have a Steve to play with.

Exactly. People lost their shit over Warpath, and I picked him up for less than $10 US at a TRU Express.

Pretty much my thoughts as well, especially since like you say, it's quite temporary. I mean if nothing else, I always have the option of not buying a toy for myself that's priced higher than I'd like, and its really not worth getting worked up over.

This happens all the time with every new toy. If you had no idea that this happens then I'm fairly alarmed.

Because scalping hasn't existed since the begininng of eBay.

    Oh, wait...

:lol  I totally remember those days. Only makes me smile as I look at my own Warpath who I picked up on a whim at a Target last year.

I won't lie. If I found one right now I'd sell it for $50. Then I'd patiently wait to get another one cheaper at a later date.

I don't do ebay, but it amazes me how stupid people are when they drop $50 on a $15 toy just so they can say "I got one of them already" rather than having a little patience.

There are more important things in life than to worry about what someone is buying/selling things on ebay for, and if that is your biggest worry, than you live a pretty good life. If no one was buying, then there wouldn't be sellers. Im sure both the seller and the buyer are pretty happy with the transaction, and at the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

Can't say that I didn't consider selling my Wheeljacks, Soundwave, and Cliffjumper when I found them pretty early. Things were going for $45 that day, which was pretty crazy.

here is how I like to handle these things....

if something is rare or scarce and I want one I will buy 2-3 of them if I find them in one outing. If there is just the 1 well then it is mine end of story, no need to hunt any further. I will keep one, offer the remainder as trade bait...and if nothing comes of that they go on ebay.

if it is something rare/scarce that someone else might want I will buy it (just the 1) and see if I can work out a trade. if not....on to ebay. I don't really do this very often though.

I like to start my auctions at .99. If the market drives it up to $10...$25...$50 I have no problem with that. They determined the value, they pay the price.

I dunno if I'd sell it for 50, but I'd probably keep one for myself & then barter the rest out for a bit more than I paid for the sake of funding the 1st one I bought.

... like, pretty much what I'm doing with Cliffjumper right now hah.

Don't buy it from ebay and wait patiently to find it in the store. But personally I like when people are that upset. Makes for a great read.

haha yeah. I find it pretty funny too, especially when its literally the same shit over & over again like the Bumblebee infestation topics.
