There is actually a story behind this little gal. Being a Classics fanatic, I envied those that had that mysterious Henkei Glyph / Blue Bumblebee. I knew there were a few out in the wild, but I was unable to procure one via eBay or BotCon. So I finally gave up and made plans to make my own. Here is the end result with my Classics Glyph. From a base RTS Bumblebee, I modified her head a little bit to make it more feminine. I also based the paint scheme on that Henkei Bumblebee and a couple of pieces of art I found online. I think she turned out great aside from slight issues with her smile. I really like the yellow accents. The ironic thing is that just after I had just finished painting her, but while she was still in pieces, Peaugh (the YouTube reviewer) sent out notices that he was selling part of his collection. In fact aside from a few pieces, if he had reviewed it, it was on the table. That included his "official" Henkei Glyph that he had reviewed. So I jumped at the chance, made an offer, was accepted, and ended up purchasing one of my collection's holy grails for a really great price. And then finally 2 days after I had completed my custom Glyph, the Henkei one arrived at my doorstep. There is some really ironic timing to all of this. It's actually quite satisfying to have the 2 available for comparing and contrast. I do prefer my custom one over the Henkei one. In fact, I'm kind of at a crossroads as to where the Henkei one fits in my collection. Maybe he's her cousin named Gliff or something, I dunno. i think yours looks better too! and cleaner! nice head mod, my only 2cents would be too thin the nose a little...again looks GREAT!!
Indeed, yours looks way better, especially with the custom head. She looks cute with that smile! Is she wearing blue lipstick? That's a nice touch.
the yellow face really helps sell yours as the better of the two. also i really like that the arms are straight silver rather than the bit between the wrist and fist being a different colour. in fact, your choice of silver over dark grey for the limbs is just awesome. if i can ever track down a version of bee, i might just have to try my hand with this kind of repaint. I don't know much about Glyph but have always enjoyed the few customs that pop up occasionally. Actually even though i don't know that much about her, i would say i like her way more than any version of bumblebee.
The official ones looks great. However to me it just looks like a blue Bumblebee. Yours though has more of what I would want in an actual Glyph figure. i like the paint apps and the new head better too. Great job.
Yeah, your custom is so much better. You don't even need the Henkei blue 'Bee. I'd even be willing to take it off your hands, in fact!
I've always preferred her with the faceplate and visor, but the Animated design works surprisingly well here. A more metallic shade on the face might help it fit in, though.
Nice. I am all for more toys of femmes. I like how she still manages to look female without being curvy.
urs is much beter. acutuly id like to know how you modded the head im gona start moding my stuff for some fembots and you did a great job feminizein bb
