Head sculpt courtesy of the always awesome Calloway Customs!

Tried to match the colour as close as I could to the colouring of the Botocn figure, got pretty darn close.

This was my first real "adventure" with Shapeways product and I ordered it in two different materials, pictured is the transparent material which I have found the easiest to work with out of all the materials.[IMG]

The reasons for doing this are pretty much obvious, Botcon didn't give him a new head so we did. Cheers Nick! Comparison pick with G2 head, considered going for a straight re-cast but Nick ended up being inspired by the Last Stand of the Wreckers series.

Well done dude, the paint job is almost flawless. Pyro looks a million times better with his new noggin.

And well done to Cashanova. Great work on the head sculpt. I think I'm going to have to stop by your shapeways store!

Gonna make this real easy for the people who've asked where they can get the head from.

    Here.

When you stand him next to the original you can understand the colour scheme.

Now why couldn't Hasbro/Botcon do that?

That looks great, I'm ordering one of those bad boys right after I post this :)  It looks like you matched the colors of the original head pretty well, this version looks much nicer than the straight up Inferno head recolor.

Awesome job! I'm glad you didn't go for a straight remold of the original. (while it's a fine head, the one you came up with is tons better!)

That's one fine looking head sculpt. I think I'll be ordering one of these for my own. What material do you recommend getting for it?

I preferred the transparent material to the white plastic.

Yeah, I ordered two heads in white plastic. It's kind of rough looking, like a grain of cereal. I'm hoping painting it up will solve that.

How did you get the ball joint to fit in the socket? I can see the socket is too large for the ball joint on the figure.
