I'm curious...will be figures of the pilots? If so, will they be able to fit into the lions? I think that will be a great gimmick! I would like to see some of the Robeasts (spelling?) also!
I hope so. That was always a fun gimmick. The LJN Voltron has a very dated toy design but the toy itself was VERY fun to play with since the cockpits opened and could seat figures. You never know, they are timing the release with the 25th anniversary. WEP also released Dairugger XV on DVD subbed as well. I don't mind the original designs.
Wow, a big company doing the toys means great distribution! Hope they do a good job out of it. Can't wait to see what the Voltron of 2010 is going to look like.
I'm not sure whether to be happy or terrified. I always liked Voltron, and it's good to see a major toy company pick up the licensing. What worries me is how well Mattel will makes these, and pray this won't be a Mattycollector.com only toy line. I really do not like Mattycollector.com, or Digital River as they still suck at customer service, and making enough of the dang things for people to actually get within 3 minutes after their online release. Although it seems other lines like Ghostbusters and Batman don't sell out as fast, I'm still worried...
im pretty happy with masterpiece voltron,i wonder how they will update it...looking forward for the cartoons 2
I'm not saying it's a bad design. Just that we've had it for so long, it's due for an update. Stealth Voltron doesn't count.
Which memo? The one where people still like Power Rangers and Transformers? I would also like to point out that Voltron is significantly more popular in America, than Go Lion was in Japan. Hell, there's probably 3x more Voltron fiction than Go Lion, at this point.
