Whats cooler then Lego? Chinese knock-off Lego depicting super powered riot police -

Much to my surprise, this was picked up at a national supermarket chain despite the fact that most of the contents of the box are almost direct copies of Lego pieces. Further to my surprise was something not pictured on the box, an acessory sprue containg a selection of firearms that my chinese riot police could use to shoot anyone who doesen't agree with the party and some handcuffs to use on anyone who gets taken alive.

Note that even the instructions are almost a carbon coby of Lego, these dudes know how to make a quality KO.

Heres the final product, the dude on top is carring a SMG that I took off the sprue before I took the photo and is also wearing a bullet proof vest that came in the set.

The quality of the parts is suprisingly good. It feels a bit cheaper and doesn't snap together quite as well as legitimate LEGO, but its far from bad. The men arn't quite as good, they have new legs that are a bit too floppy and the hands come out easier then the genuine article.

I see on the internet that there is an entire range of this stuff, including a helicopter and an armoured car. Hopefully that stuff will show up near me as well, even Lego towns need some police brutality to keep the people in line.

Our local TRU carries a brand of Lego KO as well known as "Bestlock".

Not a direct KO but those are still quite obvious Lego blocks, they have a few sets such as fire station, construction site and *gasp*... military tanks! Prices are very much cheaper compared to Lego but I'd pass.

Your riot patrol there is pretty cool, brings back memories of the 90s sets :lol

    Ebay:
They have this huge set of "Bestlock" or whatever LEGO KOs at Ollies, 1500+ pieces for $20. I was sorely tempted to get it for building stuff, but I just didn't have the spare cash.

I've noticed quite a few sets of Chinese KO-style Lego on Ebay. Lots of police sets with riot vehicles and little machine guns and stuff. I think one of the brand names is "Dragon" or something similar.

I saw an awesome pirates ship. It was going for like 25-30 bucks. It was prety big. I'll see if I can find the link.

    EDIT:
Here it is. The seller has a a whole bunch of KO lego sets. There are city, army, police and pirate sets. As for the manufacturers, there are Dragon, Brick and Shifty that I know of.

That's one big sniper rifle. I imagine it would to be difficult to use one in a boat.

That minifig is badass. If the quality's OK I'll definitely pick it up.

Man I have the legit Lego version of that ship. It's like 50cm long at least. All they changed was the captain figure and the skull and bones decals on the sails.

Cool man, hope to find this and any other sets if they show up here
$2, cant beat that. That's cheaper than the mega bloks ko stuff

Would'nt mind buying multiples just to use the pieces to make something original. A gi joe base or something. I dream of USS Flagg

    Love the little sniper rifle

It's also missing the half figure that was at the front of the boat
