Oh man, that right batman's facial expression is just perfect. When are you going to wrap up the last two TFP episodes on Primetime, BTW? Or did you just decided to skip that?
I haven't had time to record more than the weekly show, this past month. Hopefully we'll get to it as a lead-in to the airing of the finale.
I want a Transformer with a Robby the Robot head now. Maybe Mainframe, with chicken legs and vestigial arms .
Man, once again, me and Vangelus happen to have eerily similar tastes. Also, both of our IDW Megatron's are like, EXACTLY the same. No cracking or anything, small stress on the thigh, and had a loose shoulder. Like, damn. Except that I think Megs is on the top of the list for me.
Of course people drink Sprite. It's my drink in particular. I like the bite and the sourness, tempered by a soft sweetness, a mix of flavors that 7Up just can't provide. Now, rootbeer, there's a drink that I've only ever seen actively enjoyed by the elderly.
As someone who loved Linkin Park way back when (hey, I was a young angry kid once), and still kinda-sorta keeps up with them now just for mostly sentimental reasons, you'd be surprised just how much they actually are genuinely into toys, TFs, anime and all of this kind of geeky stuff. One of their major albums features a mecha that's clearly inspired by Gundam, particularly the Zaku and other mono-eye Mobile suits. One of their music videos features Gunpla Model Kits right at the beginning, just for the hell of it. One of their band members was interviewed on a Youtube show about collectible vinyls, and it showcases a lot of his collection. And that Charity concert event you guys mentioned included not only that 3A collab to create a WRRp Bramble, but even a collab with Goodsmile to make Nendoroids of the whole band. It's just a shame that the resulting Gold Soundwave in this particular instance is so bland. Their typical house style on all their album art and promo stuff is a lot more gritty and dirty and much more in line with something out of 3A. It makes me wonder if they had an original design ready for Soundwave that just got vetoed by Hasbro because it wasn't "clean" enough. If an opportunity for a collab between a toy company and a band ever comes up, Linkin Park would likely be one of the first to step up to the plate. Thoughts regarding how good or bad their music is aside, they're clearly passionate about this kind of geeky toy stuff. Great episode as always guys! Seth's Mafex Batman Vines were amazing. I might just have to get one myself, too.
I remember that Gundum surprisingly... It was off of their Meteora soundtrack. Liked pretty much everything of theirs up through a Thousand Suns. Their last album was a little blahsee though. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if they do collect transformers or show up on places like these boards every once in awhile. Also wouldn't be surprised if like your thinking they had some kinda cover art for a soundwave and then it got voted down by Hasbro in favor of something more generic. Being Fans, I could see them just being happy that something in transformers somehow got their name attached to it.
Never having been to one, or even heard of it prior to listening -- Seth's experience at Wing Stop sounds exactly like the experience I'd expect coming from a place called "Wing Stop."
I was surprised with how much I like this megatron. But Vangelus, you were exactly right about those panels on his shoulders; at first, I thought you were supposed to move them, one moved okay, one stressed and completely broke. Luckily I was able to exchange it for a new one, but still, a buyer beware for y'all that don't have him yet This guy is a champion.
