I can't tell whether it's a Buick.. or a Benz.. Judging by the side profile and my comparison earlier I'm gonna say Buick design study.
yeah I can see that. But just maybe this will be the "JOLT" of this movie. Think about it. Its a Chinese concept car and it could be in as part of the deal with working with the Chinese on this. Just maybe its a TF and will be in just as Jot was as product placement.
If the Weeckers and Ratchet are in this film, they're probably going to get knocked out '86 movie style and replaced with all these new bots.
i haven't read or follow up much news on here but i figured i'd post this here and avoid making a new thread. i don't know if this car has been reported/sighted. got this from a friend who was 'behind the scenes'.
I would say that the car posted by the OP, is more likely to be taxi, for taking the actors around during filming. either that or at the very most a luxury car for someone like Grammar's character to get about in. he looks like someone who is driven not driving himself cheers Niven
Buick makes FAR more sales in China than it does in the US. In fact, the chinese market for Buick is the sole reason it was allowed to live while Pontiac was shut down. China factors into this movie big time, so it only makes sense. That's a Buick concept car...not sure which one or if it's one that hasn't been at the autoshows yet but it's certainly a buick. I think it's pretty horrific looking. The shape is ok but I strongly dislike chrome...that thing has a chrome paint-job, chrome rims, and chrome trim. Tacky as hell.
Li Bing Bing is supposed to be in this part of the movie so I would think the Chinese car belongs to her.
makes sense, like I said either a car to take the actors somewhere or a car for the characters they play. it is the unfortunate circumstance we have in these movies every time we see a car we jump on it thinking its a transformer.
Wow.... bay must really want to squeeze that Chinese market. personally that car... meh it looks like a cross between any recent Volvo and a Vuaxhall/Opel Insignia
It's actually a pretty idea for getting a brand out there. Sure you could go the traditional route of auto shows and the like, but lots of cars there looking to get people's attention. But in a film like this you get to show off a car to a world wide film release. Yes sometimes it doesn't work and people forget about the car after the movie but one of the big reasons Americans know the Aston Martin brand is because of the James Bond movies.
Perhaps, but if the current vehicle info is anything to go by, the black-and-blue Bugatti Veyron will supposedly have that name.
