I backed out of my BBTS preorder for Starscream after seeing him at botcon. The coneheads are nice but the seeker heads are pathetic looking. Might get one later if someone makes a new head.

I think the heads are not that bad its just the mouth lacks detail, people are just making it seem the faces are worse then they really are.to judge a entire toy on the head would mean most of the toys we own we would never buy as 99% of toys I say have at least a few weak points. The jet modes are spot on I am very happy with them.

I wont own them because 99% of my collection is in bot mode, and that mode is not so good on these, IMO. It might be worth it for the novelty of their jet modes if there wasnt fifty other 3rd party figures coming out that I like more.

Well, according to BBTS, I have until October to decide whether or not to pay, since my preorder was bumped from second quarter 'til then. I want them, because I was pleasantly surprised by IT's Valkyrie. (I know, I know, I'm one of like...one.) And a Tetrajet? Never been done before. Plus, I hear the plastic quality is quite solid.

    I just...I don't know. -_- Unless I hear better things, I guess they're getting a cancellation over at BBTS.

And a new head/face or whatever ain't gonna cut it for me. I shouldn't have to do that after spending $50.00...

It's like IT is caught up in progress. They start off terrible, get a little better, then more so and almost step up to the plate but just can't quite make that final step. It's such silly things that hold them back.

Just received Banshee and Requiem today. I think they are much better in person. The plastic is not on par with something FP would put out but it is not that bad. The transformation is pretty ingenious. The head is really not too bad either. I think they are well worth the $48.00 each I paid for them and I am glad I purchased them.

I just got my set recently as well. Way better looking in person. My only complaint is the face. I am actually ok about the mouth but the eyes are not painted on very well. The transformation is really fun and makes these really unique.

Too bad there is no Hasbro toy that you can swap the head from. I'd like to see some 3rd party toy that actually can use a Hasbro product as spare parts some time. Head, Missiles, etc.

BBTS just dropped Smashor in my pile of loot!

I've come up with a new goal. I want to get one each of every CHUG Seeker from a DIFFERENT third party. I have a MMC Thundercracker, now an Impossible Toys Ramjet. Who could I get from iGear?

My Banshee/Starscream arrived today from TFsource.

I really like this figure. Tetrajet mode is the reason I bought this and its pretty awesome. The only downside of the alt mode is that the arms don't peg anywhere underneath. They just fold against the bottom, and not really in any satisfactory way. You'll want to adjust them, but then it'll knock the smoothness of alignment out of the top of the alt mode.

The transformation is actually kind of fun once you know what you're doing and how the wing panels swing. I do recommend watching Vangelus's review because its a lot more helpful than the included instructions. I like how the back thruster panel is engineered so it can unattach without issue. There's a lot of give with the plastic tolerances which was one of my main concerns when I first saw this design. The transformation is very forgiving even if you don't get things just right. Plastic quality is very good. Not Hasbro quite Hasbro quality, but close enough as its more than what it needs to transform back and forth without fear of breaking anything.

Bot mode is the weaker of the modes. Yes, the face looks like it was melted. :(  I wish you could do more with the wings to fold them away to look a bit neater, but given what this transforms into, I can easily forgive that because the Tetrajet is the reason I bought this. Otherwise it's an ok bot mode.

    I'm satisfied with my purchase.

My Banshee should finally arrive tomorrow. Can't wait. And I really hope Venksta does a new head for him since he designed the toy... But I can live with this one. Not any worse than the Robotmasters head after all.

Its pretty easy to unintentionally get a butterfly wing configuration, but I finally found a wing configuration I really like without doing that.

Ok, this looks a bit deceiving in the pics, but the wings are actually curving slightly forward which is the contour of the side of the tetrajet. Starscream normally has the wings folding backwards somewhat. The wings just look better if you keep them as one solid piece, imo. YMMV.

Still, I was able to get the swivel mechanism to get the wings closer to the body which was one of my biggest gripes with the wings. You also no longer see the ends of that back thruster plate either.

Well said, this represents my views nearly perfectly...at first I thought the transformation would be a hassle from the video but it's actually quite enjoyable once you get the hang of it.

I've been opening the coneheads...I LOVE Ramjet, he looks incredible. Dirge's colors don't quite work IMHO, opening Thrust next.

    Like you, I am satisfied!

Got SW & TC in yesterday. The transformation is interesting and the alt mode is great as expected. The head is worse than I feared. The null rays don't stay in the shoulder sockets very well. Overall I am not surprised and I got what I was expecting. They will probably stay in alt mode most of their lives.

Besides the head, the instruction sheet is a great example of why IT is getting out of the business. If you package the toy in robot mode, don't give us instructions to go from alt to robot mode. They weren't useful anyway, so it may not matter if they had gone the right way. Why would anyone think that this is a good idea? No one. So they were lazy.

The one thing I wanted from the instructions that they didn't provide was a shot of the alt mode from the bottom, which is invaluable in figuring out how the bot essentially sits inside the alt shell. They never tell you what to do with the arms in the official instructions which is exactly what an underside shot would have provided. That's why I sought out Vangelus's transformation video which I still heavily recommend for anyone's first transform. Once you visualize in your head what the bot mode needs to fold into, the outside shell pieces fall easily in place.

    In addition to this review:
...what's the general consensus on the head mold? Is it distracting large and is the face sculpt pretty soft as pics would seem to indicate?

I think if another company took on Venksta's design....and made it how he originally intended for it to look and be (of course with the proper instructions), I would have my interest in this renewed. I'm glad to see people as "happy" as they can be with their purchase.
