Transformers Animated is the BEST TF series of all times! AND DARKEST (Poor Blurr)!

It's the Constructicon buttcrack, isn't it? You hate buttcracks, don't you? WELL BUTTCRACKS HATE YOU TOO, INFIDEEEEEL!!!!!!

 

Dude Prowl did NOT say anything cyber ninja related every five minutes,and most of the cons in Animated did present pretty serious threat when needed to. The only con I can think of that was a joke was Soundwave though the rest are pretty tough and Starscream while being tough and entertaining wasn't exactly an interesting character to me as well.

As for Sari well while she had her bratty moments she didn't excalty present mary suish qualities.

I get that you're not into Animated and honestly I don't think Animated does everything right too trust me I have my own gripes on it but most of the complants you have on the show seem to be either personal gripes or lack of knowledge to what the show's really about.

 

I don't hold Animated in much esteem either - the voice acting is a bit wobbly for me at times and it takes a long time to get not very far. and I despised Fanzone he's a pillock as for Death didn't the Humans murder a helpless mode-locked Swindle and sell his bits for the Police charity? For me Animated suffer for being to much of one man's personal vision. I think it was an interesting experiment - but not one I want to see repeated.

I love Rescue Bots thought it's got bucket loads of charm and superb writing.

Straightforward and to the point, I can't say I easily find merit in the current comics though 15% good ideas 85% bad to me. To much of an ego trip and frankly they really have a way of looking at Transformers that is so bizarre to me - I would almost say Kiss Players was more Transformery. and it doesn't help that everyone seems to be indulging their ego either.

It's just the ideas don't really interest me - it's not that the idea of colonies returning is a bad one - I like the idea of Transformers colonies. I just think that all it seems to have done is turn the comics into a soap opera. and many of the characters seem either superfluous fan service (Skybite) or weak (Starscream).

I don't think Transformers will get back on track until it's handled by someone else besides IDW or they have a total staff change and 100% reboot - but I doubt that will happen soon. So it will remain outputting things far to much unlike what I see as the core principles ideas and situations of a Transformers comic. It's a bit like the old Spider-Man or Superman comics that had neither of the title characters in them - they were fine for what they were - but you were left wondering when normal activity would resume. And that is what I feel about IDW - They do what they do - but it's just completely un-interesting to me.

 

At least he's not judging a whole series on the first couple eps like some.

I kinda want to see Split Lip back in here now for 'epic' battle.  

 

I think that Cybertron and Animated blow away anything that has come since.

 

What is it about ? - I got the impression the whole point of it was Optimus Clawing his way back into commands good books after making a mess of his mission with Elita-1.

Looking back at it Transformers Animated had a great deal in common with Beast Wars Neo - it was a crew of miss-fits too.

Other than Prime's quest for redemption and Megatron doing "stuff" what was it supposed to be about in a broader sense ?

I thought it was a show where the Humans were obnoxious and the Villans more than a bit stupid... I mean who ever thought Transformers fighting comedy costumed super villans was a good idea in the 1st place ? It's not the Tick. and it certainly didn't work so well with the NeoKnights either.

 

Now that I know this is replacing Rescue Bots, not Prime, I'm hopeful. A series focusing on the Protectobots that's a Power Rangers like series could be interesting.

Obviously Defensor = The Megazord, but this also could give some interesting plotlines.

 

So... Microman?

 

No, they'd still be Transformers and full-sized, just the overall feel would be Power Rangers.

Name a better Gestalt Team the concept would work with.

 

Comparing Animated to Prime is like comparing Prime to Rescue Bots, two different leagues. Now if you wanted to compare Animated to Rescue Bots I get that.

 

No dude, it's obvious that because I don't think it's the GREAST TF TOON EVER that I don't know what I'm talking about.

The whole concept behind Animated made RID look like it was made of gold.

And don't even get me started on the human "villains".

 

I as well. I'm staring to think Hasbro is going to overshoot TF4's toyline and assume it's worth carrying on for like over 2 years?

 

Though I do like Prime, but I don't think it's nearly as fun to watch as Animated, which I think is my favorite series. None of the reason you give apply to me as to why I like the series.

Is it so hard for you to understand that someone might have a different opinion from you, that the only reasons why someone might possibly enjoy a show that you don't like is because of some cameos and comparing it to previous series.

 

I'm certainly not going to take parenting advice from someone going by the name "Steroid Prime".

 

I'm ok with the premise. I hope it is more like Animated than Rescue Bots

 

It replacing RB is kinda weird to me...thought RB was doing pretty good, only major complaint was the long-ass wait between seasons. Didn't really think RB was ready to be replaced. But if it's similar to RB, it won't be so bad then. We really need a show that focuses on more than just the war and RB was a great start to that. Plus I enjoyed RB more than Prime (stopped watching halfway thru season 2).

Also, all this negativity toward RB is kinda depressing. So much hate!

 

I couldn't care less if people like Animated. I'm fine with that.

What I find IRRITATING is the prevailing school of thought that it is somehow the best show ever, when it fails in so many ways.

 

Do I think it's the best show ever, no. It's my personal favorite Transformers series. But every one of the series have suffered from something. If the prevailing school of thought is Animated is the best Transformers show, than it would serve the brand to return to that style. As much as I love it, I would like to see something new from Transformers.

I think a good formula would be the characters of G1, the writing of Beast Wars, the humor of Animated, the action of Prime.

What ever the show after Prime will be I'll give it a try, whatever the show after Rescue Bots is, I'll give it a try.
