Does not-Firebolt peg into G1 Hot Rod's engine? Or G1 TM Hot Rod's engine?

 

They have standard 5mm pegs, which was also the G1 TM standard, so the TM version or the Super Duper ultimate reissue version should both work.

 

Yea my biggest disappointment is the lack of natural looking vehicle mode attachment for HotRod and Blurr

 

It fits better than Blurr's at least...

I would LOVE that. I wish they had put the $$ toward that instead of the chainsaw and crossbow.

I display them all in robot mode anyway, so I can't complain too much. Only odd thing I have to do is turn Blurr's hand over so I don't need to use the scary stressed c-clip.

Two new Mastershooters have been displayed. Looks like gun versions of Powermaster Rev and Hi-Q/Genrai! These will fit perfectly with your movie Breakaway (aka CHUG Getaway) and Classic Optimus Prime.

Wow, that would be cool if they tried making versions that transformed into engines.

 

They pretty much are engines. Just with giant gun barrels sticking out!

 

Oh joy. So they've gone from something I was actually into to being basically a Lucky Draw exclusive.

 

CRAP! Who do I have to kidnap to get one mailed to me as ransom? I own EVERY MasterShooter Collectibles toy so far, but I'm not going to Charticon. You really shouldn't make toys in such limited numbers!

Charticon this year? So people will give MSC money at Charticon and they'll mail them out in a year or so, right? No?

Well. I guess we see where those of us who gave Captured Prey their money over a year ago for Quake & Spinister sets rank on MSC's priority list. (This is not an exaggeration. I paid July 13, 2012.)

If they were only selling them through BBTS, where preorders aren't charged until they are in stock, it wouldn't be as frustrating. I don't blame CP: That's their business model, and I knew the way it worked when I made my purchase. But it's not fair to CP for their business partner to put them in the middle of the situation by failing to deliver the goods in a timely manner.

And speaking of not fair...

You don't understand. With exclusives, they decide they want to sell a certain number of them. They then sell that number. They're not interested in selling any more. They don't care about who can or can't get one. So if you never see any at your TRU, then -- oh, wait a minute. We're not talking about Masterpiece Soundwave. Hm.

Okay, let's try this instead: It's fun for them to make these exclusives and be able to make 35 fans very happy. And if they run fast enough after they finish selling the 35, they won't have to face the mob of unhappy fans chasing them from their table. (Running while carrying barrels of hot tar and bags of feathers tends to be beyond the capability of most mobs. The key is to put the strong people in charge of the supplies and place them at the back of the mob, and put the fast runners at the front of the mob. Most mobs, however, are not anywhere near so organized, so very few tarring-and-feathering attempts at conventions have been successful.)

 

As someone who is working with Master Shooter on the design side of things, I can tell you the long delay was the factory in China. They based their original projections on the manufacture time of Mega-Gun, but for some reason the factory was way slower this time. They just kept delaying things. As for the Captured Prey exclusives... those were delivered to Captured Prey over a week ago. If you still don't have them, that's not Mastershooter's fault.

Without giving out too much information, there is a reason there are only 35 of these. There was no new run at the factory. This is all that could be built with the available parts. Believe me, MasterShooter doesn't hate money. They'd love to produce more of these if they could. Who knows, if they sell well and the demand still seems to be high enough, a second factory run could be in order and a second run of these could be available in larger numbers sometime next year.

 

So they are built from spare parts, but I still want them.

 

if they do another run they should do Hi-Test, Throttle, Knok & Skar as well

 

Hi-Test and Throttle makes sense. They have CHUG toys.

The last bit of delay isn't on MasterShooter. They have indeed delivered the two-packs to me, and those should be going out this week. The final bit of delay is entirely on my end, and has to do with two factors - all the items released in close succession needing to be shipped, on which I can only work so fast, and to a lesser extent, an unusual delay in getting the boxes in to ship these, which I ordered up some time ago.



That said, I should be shipping out the two-packs this week. I've been working through all the things coming in as quickly as possible and believe me, I want to get your items out to all of you. Not just to finally fulfill these orders, but to clear out the space that has been used up by items waiting on these, too! If I had had ANY idea how long these would be delayed, I would have postponed the pre-orders a while...and I'm sure MSC would agree on that.

 

I understand crap happens, I'm waiting on a rather larger order from Captured Prey because it includes the two 2-packs. I'd be happy to see them get shipped this week.

I suggested it 4 months ago in another thread! I doubt MSC saw my suggestion... great minds just thing alike, but its exciting to see an idea you had become a toy. I hope I can get a hold of a set.
