This gladdens me immensely. Hasbro is using the multiple scales to make unique characters again.

 

has prime or bumble bee even hit stores? I had to get my Prime from Amazon and still I haven't seen any at Toysrus target or Walmart.

That said I'm digging this line, I'll get most of this line through Amazon if I have to.

 

We already have a classics styled Windcharger in a similiar sizeclass: RTS Windcharger. This design is a bit of a departure from the original look of the Windcharger/Tailgate mold to the MTMTE design of Tailgate. Windcharger never looked like this. Not that I'm saying it wont get repainted into WC, it might, but for me the RTS is a whole lot better choice for representing that character though.

 

Tailgate's surprisingly kibbly. Love that rake/shovel though.

Can't wait to get the Legends figures.

 

I just put my Cyberverse Prime Ironhide next to the Legends Optimus and Bumblebee. More or less the same size.

 

if sharpnel is the same size as his g1 toy then this would still look great next to the other two original g1 guys I think

Him and Swerve are wonderful surprises... I knonda wished we got an updated cyclonus... I know, the original is still fantastic.

 

Prime and Bumblebee have been out for at least a month in my area. I imagine we should be seeing Megatron and Starscream within the next 2 weeks.

Bought on sight. As are the first wave, once I find them at retail. Tailgate looks awesome!

 

No not a joke. As much as I like the scout size, I feel he's too big to fit with the legends minibots and too small for the deluxe minibots. Also, I'm not a fan of his transformation with the hood on the chest. It just doesn't feel right to me. I hope this one is closer to the original legends size. But that's just my opinion.

 

I'm afraid I may have to pass on Tailgate. I don't normally pick apart things, but his bottom legs should definitely be more robust, like his G1 counterpart/Windcharger.

 

It's 'cause he's based on Tailgate's MTMTE design, which has got dainty little legs:

 

Tailgate looks pretty awesome, (just don't try to transform him )

Needs "Bomb Disposal" on his arm though, and light piping (these jokes are for MTMTE fans)

Anyone notice Bodyblock looks a biiiiiiiit like a certain City Commander? (interesting)

 

Self Illumination and Cyberglyphs really evoke that 1980's look - er hang on no, they don't !

101 : Uses for a Tailgate -

1) Install a magnet in it and see if you can get it to Tailgate Tonka trucks without stopping or sticking to it.

2) Feed it to Trypticon

3) Give it to Airachnid to do unspeakable things to it.

4) Tie it upside down from a chain and let Feral Rex play catch with it or use it as a chew toy.

5) See how Minicons he can hold without falling over.

6) Repaint it into Cliffjumper

7) Repaint it into Windcharger

8) repaint it into Rook

9)... Repaint it into.... snore zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Oh sorry I dozed off there for a minute. I was going to say something about Decepticharge I think.

 

 

All good reason to me! As much as it may come across as a negative in my earlier post, this wouldn't be a bad repaint into Minerva.

 

Oh man. I'm excited for both of these guys. If they make an IDW Cyclonus to go with Tailgate, and a Kickback and Bombshell, I will take back everything bad I said about Hasbro back when Armada was out.

I love that we're getting so many IDW characters, and Tailgate is one of my favorites.

I couldn't tell from the images, but if Tailgate has a Ball-Jointed head, that'll be the sweet, sweet Icing on the cake

 

I wonder when these guys are gonna get a pre order date or release. Kinda getting close to the movie and I'm afraid these two great figures may not see the light of day.
