@TFao Thanks, this is how mine is going to look then. I guess I can switch them around also. This makes a good looking Bruticus.

No prob man. Just be aware that if you don't have two of the shoulder connectors that plug into Blastoff's chest that you'll have to use the one intended for Vortex.

While it does work, I don't know how solid of a connection it provides, and of course it looks lightly different. I don't recall anyone chiming in on how well (or bad) it works though.

Maybe LazyAza or archieboy can attest to how it holds up...

Haha, I cheated! I used a transparent rubber band that's used in TF packaging to hold Explorer securely. :p

Haha! Hey, whatever works man. Still looks good to me. :thumbs2:

I know that there is a way to rig it up with the exsisting FP combiner parts though.

Ohhh I completely didn't realize till just now that yeah he's going to need two of the same shoulder connector for it to work, which means two fp collossus sets. =P The one for vortex doesn't work at all for FP's blast off unless you do some modification.

Naw, there is a way. Pics of it were posted long ago when Flameblast and Warcry first came out. Doesn't look very stable though.

I'll try it and snap some pics when I get the chance.

Yeah, Vangelus showed how to do it in his Flameblast review. I tried it, but it was not very secure. So I used a rubber band.

So I get the set today and I was very pleased with the overall packaging and presentation. However, my Explorer is very loose. Loose to the point that his arms fall off. Not fell off. Fall off. All the time, just sitting there his left arm will drop then fall off as if the ball in the joint is too small or something. Other than that I like the set a lot. So off to ebay to find a Vortex or Stormcloud to get the arm to work properly. I really like the set and would like it to look as "proper" as possible.

I think I have a problem and im hoping someone can give me a suggestion / help.

I finally got around to opening this set and I got to the point where you plug the backpack into his back and spread his left and right weapons apart so they can fold down by his head.

However, mine fully spread and are removeable. There is no way to seperate the guns and keep them attached to the backpack. There is a hole in the backpack black plastic pieces that connects the guns to the backpack and both guns but nothing is in the hole nor any glue residue if they were simple glued.

Is there supposed to be a pin of some sort in there or are the guns supposed to be glued to the backpack black plastic pieces that spreads them apart?

...if so, yeah there are supposed to be a screw in there, on either side.

that's odd. my original FP bruticus set and G1 colored set both have screws to limit the guns when pulled apart. if you bought these new you might want to send em back for an exchange instead of messing with it and sticking the wrong screws in. TFAo has a pretty good pic above of where the screws are located.

Doh! My Munitioner is missing a wheel--no sign of it in the box nor any evidence it was attempted to be installed. Not happy...

i preordered the bruticus maximus g1 set from bbts a while back then later got the reissue FP G1 upgrade set. i remember a lot of fanboys dogging the reissue takara bruticus max set saying it's a pretty lame reissue, not many people will buy it, it'll go on clearance....etc... then now it's all sold out at Robot kingdom, bbts, tfsource, and pretty much all the other US retailers. even on ebay and amazon there's none from US sellers. glad i didn't hesitate to get them while they were still newly released back then.
