I will probably pass. I really wanted to get the G1 box art book Sorenson and IDW were talking about at Botcon 2012. Anyone have any updates on that book?

Hm... 35 bucks with free ship too... I really dig the art... which alone might be enough reason to acquire... And 320 pages isn't too shabby a size... as well as being a hardcover...

    Hmmm....

I hope it's not too weighted towards Prime and IDW, like the Ultimate Guide was weighted towards Armada and Dreamwave. I'd like a nice, even exploration of the past 30 years.

Well there's a Reign of Starscream which is IDW but movieverse, quite a few Marvel issues from the US and UK, some Dreamwave (War Within), an Armada comic I'm not sure who published and a story from Transformers Animated: The Arrival #3 (Bots of Science) which, again, is IDW but set in the Animated catoon. So I'm going to pre-order it anyway, lots of Simon Furman goodness.
(On a side note how did an issue of Mike Costa's run that isn't Chaos Theory make it in a "Best Of" compilation)

Well, I shouldn't whine too much. I like IDW a lot more than Dreamwave in retrospect.

Wow! This book is incredible! I'll have to keep this book in mind...there are so many things going on for the 30th anniversary. It's times like these where I wish money grew on trees.

This looks like it has a nice spread from across the different publishers and writers. It's absolutely right that we have Budiansky, Furman, Costa, Barber et al represented, and that we see Armada, Prime, Animated, Movie as well as the IDW-verse and the Marvel saga in here. This looks good, and I can't wait to see it!

Well I'll read them to give them a fair chance but should love the War Within personally (Being on Cybertron AND by Simon Furman).
