Speaking toward which items? I purchased two Bruticus sets last year (I think the limit was two) and they came together in a case. The DotM Ultimate Optimus and Avengers Helicarrier also came in "cases" with the actual sealed product within it. I imagine Metroplex will be the same thing.

I don't think the sealed case bit is necessarily an indication that someone found a work-around as much as that's just how they received them from Hasbro if they bought a bunch of one thing. Doesn't mean some people don't find a way, but people receiving cases of what they're purchasing from SDCC is hardly a suspicious sign from what I've seen over the past few years.

 

I know the cardboard that Hasbro usually uses is great, I've been getting exclusives for years. But it's still disappointing to know that the lab (which is supposed to be a major draw in this set) is made out of cheap materials).

 

The thing about this I find troubling is that we are getting this big special 30 figure promotion and many long suffering people wanting these won't come any closer to getting because of the exclusive factor. Cuz you may want it, have the funds, and possibly still never get them because they disappear so frickin fast. Meanwhile some schmuck is getting his 3rd, 4th, or even 10th different version and they lose out yet again from even getting a first one at a reasonable price. (I'm looking at you Predaking!)

Now I know, there's not a lot of sympathy around here for those less fortunate but someone needs to share the pain.

Now has anyone found out how this line will be handled? All online or will some of these hit actual retail? If it was talked about or covered elsewhere I'm sorry but the information overload makes it much simpler to just ask.

This is the comparison I receive from my supplier so it's not like I making things up

 

I don't believe you are, but we've seen pics of the Takara Metroplex at Tokyo Toy Show and it had the chrome face and two red guns. Unless there's been an about-face by Takara, that's what they're doing for their Metroplex so it appears your supplier is mistaken until Takara indicates otherwise.
