It's a shame about the facesculpts. Otherwise these look very clever and well done.

I'm hoping a relatively inexpensive option appears for a head swap, something that matches the G1 Marvel aesthetic of these guys. But the simple fact that these are durable, posable figures who actually manage to pull off the Tetrajet accurately is a big win.

If the banshee seekers are delayed so they can re-do the heads, that's fine with me, but PLEASE leave the coneheads as is! They are perfect! Plus, they were clunkier than starscream and co. in the toon, so it makes sense to me to put Smashor on the classics shelf.

Well, it does and doesn't. I just expect more from a 3rd Party company now a days. I think a lot of people do, so paying full price for something that feels dated (which even Venskta says is dated) is not the best.

Alicon was supposed to feel like a G1 toy, so that differs there.

Not sure why the double standard exists in my head, but it does. 3rd Party classics should look more updated and articulated, etc.

G1 3rd Party should fit better in with G1.

Good to know. After seeing the other dude doing the drop test, I was like, really, another one of these. But yet again, not every one saw that drop test.

Other that the Demolition Crew members and a few iGear Minibots that transform 1-2-3, there are not a lot of sub-$50 options...

I preordered all seven. But after watching the video and thinking it over I am going to pass until they fix the head. Might still get the coneheads....

Honestly, what bothers me most about these guys is the huge solid chuck of yellow for the cockpits. More so than the massive smoodgy faces. It's crying out to be broken up. The originals and every iteration of Tetrajets since have had smaller slit windows. Sort that out and I'd seriously think about picking one up. Probably Sunstorm.

I'll agree that the head and coloring(Banshee) could be better, but being able to withstand drop-tests that would have shattered Valkyrie or being tossed around over and over again=cheap?

The key word in what you quoted is 'look'

They might have the strength of a battleships anchor cable, but the glossy plastic, thin panels and mushy details makes them look like second rate ko's, and I realise I was on the other side of this argument when Giant was starting to come out.

The face sculpts for Starscream/Skywarp/Thundercracker are absolutely awful. Those better get fixed on the final toys. The coneheads are passable. The cockpits should definitely be translucent. They'd look so much better than the plain looking solid yellow piece.

I agree the glossy plastic makes it look like a KO and not a collectible.

Funny, because hard and glossy plastic looks more expensive on regular HasTak releases, unlike the cheap as crap porous/matte/soft plastic we've been getting lately.

These guys are being sold at markdown online. Hmm... They look badass, but the heads are cause for concern. :/
