Does anyone know if the Takara version carry the "Japanese Voice Box"? instead of being in English (Hasbro version)? I really like the aesthetic but not able to understand Metroplex would be a draw back. This is something to be consider as well.
This, this right here scares the hell out of me. I want to like this guy, but I'm very concerned that he will end up being an overpriced, cheap-feeling piece of crap, ie ROTF Devy, DOTM Ultimate Prime, FOC Bruticus.

Said screw it anyway, a seller on Ebay had the Hasbro version for PO, 90 shipped. Figured I wont be out too much for that price. Even bought another one from him for my son. I know his eyes lit up when I first showed Metroplex to him.
did you read the whole auction if its the one I just looked at it says in the description $90 due now and $110 more due when the item is released

No, I don't think people are going overboard at all (if you think this is going overboard, it'll be amusing to see what you think of other threads where reactions are more....extreme, in nature), nor do I think people are "fanboys" simply for preferring the Takara version better. Importing stuff is expensive, but people who choose to understand that. For whatever reason they choose to do it, it's worth it to them (myself included). There is nothing for you to "get" in that regard, since people do not have to justify their choices to you.
I willing to pay for what I want. No point in getting a special figure if he doesn't feel truly special. TakaraTomy's has those little touches I like, and if you notice the two guns do integrate into all 3 modes so that unfounded rumor is wiped away like so many others. I'm not necessarily excited about the price, but it isn't like something like him comes out every week. Just the realities of importing in today's economy and collector-aware marketplace.
What I'd like to know is the voice sounds. Are we going to get something similar to the game cause I'll be hella-pissed if he sounds like Spaceball's plushie of Yogurt: "May the Schwartz be whicha!" *grrr* d00d. I don't think even you understood what the hell you wrote
Although nicer than Hasbro's, its not worth the extra money for a few paint aps and another gun. The Hasbro figure looks pretty good too.
