Just had a cool idea, (and really hoping our scout: Cosmic Forge reports something soon).

O. K. so here is my idea - thoughts, really.

Wouldn't it redeem the directorial style of Mr. Bay in a lot of fan's eyes, if the following were incorporated in the story of TF4?

Optimus Prime is headed towards these oil farms, in hopes to talk to the people operating them, if they could use some of it to make energon, and in order to fit in with the environment, and to appeal to the sympathetic side of the locals, he would revert from the fancy, shiny rig, to the beat-up rusty one?

You know, like when a rich person is sensible enough, to not wear something flashy, when going to a poor neighborhood.

Just rumor but from what I hear. The Autobots find and get a Con to come out of hiding there. It was also said that there is a Barn set where a Truck TF is hiding from something and that the FBI and Nest are involved. The old truck could be the truck in hiding and very well could be the rumored Con that is forced out of hiding.
