Lambor so technically he is Sideswipe but you know he's a Japanese version who turns into a Lamborghini

 

I'm loving all these cool new cars too - aside from the fact that if we actually get the figures the alt modes will actually look good on my shelf in their own right, these cars are proper eye candy and are made to be on the big screen. Remember this a fictional world people, it's not our world, suspend a little belief for a couple of hours and maybe think that in the Bayverse flashy cars are a little more commonplace than in reality (!)

with all the pics of the new cars, I just hope the toys are awesome. And please no leader class BB. I hope someone else gets the leader class treatment.

 

So I guess with this, Lamborghini probably doesn't have a problem with Hasbro licensing the rights to make MP Sideswipe.

 

No one said Hasbro has acquired the licensing to Lamborghini. All we know is that a Lambo will be in the film. There was an Audi in RotF, but the toy we got is not an Audi.

 

If this is the case,we may get a toy which is not Lambor,sad.

 

What if it were Tracks? Since the Vette went to SideSwipe?

Or Sunstreaker -since this car and SideSwipe are both gray (brothers by the same color instead of the same model? (as were Mudflap and Skids - who weren't actually the same model, but close)

Could be SideSwipe updated his design however? BumbleBee updated from a retro-Camaro.


Meanwhile, Decepticons? Could be any Stunticon except MotorMaster or DragStrip, knowing Michael Bay.

Could even be Soundwave if he's not dead from events in DOTM (unlikely) and he re-disguised himself again.

My hopes? SunStreaker or a self-upgraded SideSwipe. I could deal with Tracks, too. But even in the BayVerse (where I personally oppose there being DinoBots - sorry Grimlock fans - it was fun in G1 but I was a kid then) - I am still able to see Tracks (as a car) extend wings and fly like a fighter jet.

With this Lamborghini design, that could look pretty cool as a matter of fact.

Why are they choosing lots of vehicle that apparently Hasbro can't get licensing for?

 

Amazing that that first (Veyron) and second (Aventador) fastest production cars are in the movie. I expect to see mindblowingly fast car chase scenes. Like others, I really hope that Hasbro is obtaining licenses to make toys of these cars. It would be worth the cost. Imagine the number of repaints they could make. Michael Bay really likes fast cars. He probably owns all of those types of vehicles.

Still they couldn't get the 458 so maybe this is another one Bay is insisting on that Has will at least have to make the effort to go after but with no guarantee they will get.

And while Veyrons and Aventadors are beyond cool as real world cars their use as a disguise is likewise beyond stupid. Will they be followed around by a big neon-green blimp with signs on it pointing and saying "hey over here!!!"............?

Yeah I wouldn't count on a toy, which is too bad really though I expect the robot design is trash.

I would really like to see the Stunticons in a movie.

 

Because they can then only focus on Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as the only toys.

 

Maybe they have something up their sleeve to get the licensing, because this whole new redesign thing is about the toys being different because Hasbro felt DOTM toys didn't do we'll because they were too much like TF2 and TF2007.
