Ouch, that price hurts if all you're looking for is the Bad Cop kit.

Not much to do about it, I guess, unless someone wants to help a girl out and split a pack. XD

Yeah, not a hint of temptation left at that price. Maybe a variation of the set can be released individually at some point in the future, but if not, I'll just do without.

That's $286 CAD to Canada upon payment via Paypal. I went all the way to the order page, but I just couldn't do it. No Manuel X for me after all.

Would it be possible to offer more economical shipping by REMOVING the packaging for Manuel X? This is a hard sell for most international fans.

With BotCon and Comic-Con coming up, the price of this set is simply too astronomical. I just want the toys -- Manual X and Bad Cop -- without the unnecessary extras (truly, no need for a badge to a convention I'm not going to).

    Sigh.

'Not a hint of temptation left at that price' - that pretty much sums it up for me - couldn't have put it better!

This pricing for a European Non-Attendee with the Bad Cop kit is just insane.... Just make a Non-Attendee option to get the Bad Cop kit on its own surely!? (and this is from someone who forked out for the Diaclone Marlboor Wheeljack kit last year)

With all the stuff lined up this year, there's no way I can justify the spend, as I didn't want Robot Manuel X anyway (perfectly happy with Mech Ideas' first runs of Topspin) -

Do we have any idea of which convention the 'other half' will be available at / cost, and actually is, re-paint wise?

I will be honest and say that comparing this to the BotCon pack is unfair on a number of levels...

    1. The BotCon toys are considerably cheaper for them to produced because of the larger production runs involved. If we had been able to produce Robot Manuel X in even double the quantity being made then we'd have been able to cut a decent amount of the price.

    2. Internal shipping - whether its within the UK or within the US - will always be more cost effective. For the UK packs, we are able to send it for £11 plus packing materials by Special Delivery. This service ensures delivery by 1:00 pm the next day and gives us insurance cover for up to £500!

    3. Different countries have different mail systems when shipping overseas. In the UK once packages go beyond a certain size, weight no longer applies. I've had large parcels shipped to me from the US that have cost less than this and I do appreciate how annoying this is to everyone but there isn't anything we can do to cut shipping costs.

    4. We have exclusives this year produced in partnership with four companies. We have to be fair and include all of these subject to available supplies. If we leave anything out then we could be accused of favouritism and that could jeopardise future exclusives.

The only alternative option open to us would be to have EVERY exclusive as optional but that would mean offering (and calculating) a staggering 81 different options for the pack and shipping. Not only a logistical nightmare for us but the coding involved and time sorting that out would have meant that we simply would not have had the resources to have offered the packs at all.

As it is we have had to do part of the packs manually because I didn't want to delay sales any longer than I had to. I was going to add options for orders with people being able to choose the t-shirt styles at the point of ordering but with all the other convention work right now, this would have added too much extra work.

    5. As well as the toy and custom kit, you do get autographs of all our guest most of whom don't attend conventions outside of the UK and this will include three voice actors.

    6. In terms of overall cost, we have done everything possible to keep this as close to the actual cost as possible.

Such a shame; I really only wanted the upgrade kit. Anybody else think a veritable killing could be made off selling just Bad Cop sometime in the future?

Have these kits (along with the rest of the Auto Assembly swag) been shipped out yet to non-Attendees who bought their respective packages?
