YES! Would be great to see Rescue Bots in more articulated molds. I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro releases Rescue Bots in Transformers:p rime style.

That's something that I feel now. Machine Wars set didn't turned on any triggers, but that Rescue Bot stuff makes me sad that I can't go to BotCon.

Yes, and is good to remember that IDW have two recent MLP comic series, and some advertising is always good.

That's some people that, if it's not exactly what they want it's lame. I want another Animated Botcon, but I can see the bright side of other stuff. The Josh Comic Art looks great, usually the Wings Universe fiction is very good and now many Voice Actors will be in the show. Why not be happy with that stuff? I don't want 1984 G1 forever!

Shame they didn't get Tim Curry. That wouldn't made this Botcon go from "This is weird" to "I need a godamn ticket to San Diego right now" for me.

    Ow, well.

I know right! But one day, those who haven't been to BotCon will get the chance to go. Let's hope both of our chances will be soon.

No, I don't have a problem with the VAs, as it gives variety (and we get Steve Blum to cover two series). I was pointing out the 'themes' of what has been promoted so far, which aren't aimed at the majority demographic going to BotCons.
This year will be my 14th BotCon - I keep going back because I like BOTH new and returning guests. I do have a personal preference of Gen1 VAs (while we still have them around) and VAs of more well-known recent characters, as we are more likely to recognise and enjoy their renditions.

From my BotCon Archives, (for anyone interested) these are the only Voice Actors to have been a Guest at two or more American BotCons...

    8 - Peter Cullen - 97, 04b, 06, 07, 09, 10, 11, 12
    8 - David Kaye - 97, 98, 03, 07, 08, 09, 11, 12
    6 - Scott McNeil - 98, 99, 01, 04o, 06, 10
    5 - Michael McConnohie - 02, 04o, 04b, 09, 11
    4 - Gregg Berger - 01, 03, 09, 11
    4 - Garry Chalk - 98, 01, 03, 12
    3 - Dan Gilverzan - 04o, 04b, 12
    2 - Abby Collins - 11, 12
    2 - Paul Eiding - 10, 11
    2 - Venus Terzo - 97, 00

Peter Cullen is an obvious (crowd-pulling) regular due to the current movies, as is David Kaye for being in just about every TFs series since Beast Wars.
Most of the rest have only been at one BotCon in the last 3-4 years, which isn't very repetitious, and would be "new" to most people in any future BotCon.
And if they are entertaining enough, like David Kaye, they still draw a crowd... but BotCon organisors shouldn't get into a habit of just relying on regulars.

Bringing in new VAs is indeed a good thing, as long as they also diversify their guest line-up with ones that are "reliable" crowd-pleasers to the main demographic.

And yes, in the end, the convention should be fun. I shouldn't have sounded so negative... when trying to be objective in the assessment of this year compared to previous years.

Last Year should have been a FOC based guest list (so like Fred Tatasciore, Troy Baker, Nolan North, Travis Willingham..etc)

They screwed up big time with that one.
