It's made-to-order; they just closed the pre-order window. That doesn't necessarily say anything about how well it sold... But eHobby has said that they sold pretty well.

Of course, how reliable that is is also up for debate...

Usually for Ehobby stuff,they will produce limited quantity,so nowadays they made-to-order,that is interesting.

Their items have always been limited, true. This type of "made to order" thing is standard practice in Japan, though, so they may have handled all their exclusives like this. Hard to know.

We don't know how that relationship works. It may be that Fup just requested a certain fixed number for their run.

They probably ordered so many for themselves.

That's probably what happened. Which is why I think it's odd that Takara hates it when the club wants to make things for Botcon for the subscription.

 

I don't follow. Why would Takara have beef with FunPub?

 

Same production run. Fun Pub orders so many in advance from eHOBBY.

Well, it's not really Takara, so much as the factories. We're constantly told that the factories don't like doing the small runs that FunPub does, and that's why they're always getting pushed back on the schedule in favor of larger runs.

The question is, why does FunPub constantly suffer in this way, when eHobby seems ("seems" is an important word here, though) to do just fine?

 

There's no telling what happens behind closed doors... Maybe FunPub did something to piss off whoever is in charge over at the factory?
But if the problems are truly with the factory, then why not change factories?
Still doesn't make too much sense to me.

 

I don't think FunPub has a say in which factory they use. They use whichever one Hasbro/Takara uses, that has the mold they need available.

 

Then I'm still not understanding why they don't get Hasbro involved whenever the factory wants to undermine their order.

 

So this is definitely coming out in September? I wonder why BBTS hasn't updated their listing with the release date of May.

 

Maybe Fun Pub know there maybe more collectors whom want it after the official eHOBBY pre order close,i guess.

 

eHOBBY's order contains what Fun Pub is getting. eHOBBY has a set amount they've set aside for Fun Pub.
