I dont like the fakey fake hood but Ill buy it and hope others do the same for two reasons.

    1. So hasbro knows G1 (speaking) Bumblebee is popular and they dont need to keep him making stupid noises

    2. So hasbro knows there is a market for comic based figures

Yeah, remember the good old days when Bumblebee used to be a mini? Whatever happened to that? :sly2:

Ug. The yellow looks terrible on this figure... But the mold is good.. Not a fan of false/faked transformations, but without knowing, it's difficult to tell. Love the mold though... Can't wait to see this repainted

False chests are used when there isn't a way to do a proper transformation while still being in scale and staying aesthetically pleasing. If they hadn't "cheated" with the chest, it would be much to big.

As if we needed another Bumblebee. Though, I might just get this to replace the Classics Bumblebee that I don't have anymore.

Hmm, doesn't do much for me, but then I wasn't a fan of the comics this version appeared in. It also seems odd that BB has gone from this lean looking warrior to a more "Yoda" style design in such a short space of time for RID. Is he short and cute or tall and buff?

Making up of minds needed they are, yes...

the Bee's alright but I can't wait to see the new optimus and megatron.

I think Megatron will finally have an alt mode that is actually good. After how many years of more alt modes and bad tanks. He should have been a flying vehical from day one and a stealth bomber is a great choice for Megs.

I would much rather see them get their own molds, even if it is a two-for-one retool deal ala FoC Jazz/Sideswipe. At this point I would probably take them however they deliver the group.

This wave of Deluxes is shaping up to be really sweet... Even bumblebee looks good, course it helps that its not another retool of an old mold! :p

I like him with the shoulders transformed that way. It hides those gaps and gets rid of the door wings, which makes him look less like movie bee. That weapon is cool, too.

I might just replace my RTS bee with this guy.

I really like this mold, just not as Bumblebee. Would make a really nice modern Sunstreaker and a really nice Hotrod. Alt mode would be a little different for the characters but I'm cool with that!

That's why any character should be designed correctly first, in case a toy based on that design gets released later!

IDW generally does work out the transformations so they can do those wide panel conversion shots. I think the movie universe is more guilty of doing this without consideration for how HasTak are going to make transforming toys of cheating models. .

perfect Transformation to the source material is not always the priority in transformer toy design. Sometimes I'm happy with the variety if the tradeoff from a perfect Transformation gives us good action features like combineing with other toys or holstering blasters. In this case the design could work perfectly in another budget for parts and a potentially larger bee. There is always that tradeoff. More parts equals more cost for Hasbro.

Strangely sculpted chest don't bother me much. I can usually can justify it as other parts of the internal systems or battle armor.

I'll still be buying this bumblebee. Looks really solid. Hope they do a Rodimus retool as others have said.
    Stunticons would be fine.

I think it looks awesome. I like the transformation, as much as I can tell from a few pictures.... these 30th anniversary toys, have nice proportions and the muscle car looks great. I'm also thrilled to see the IDW comic designs brought to life. I can't wait to pick this up!
