This sounds a lot like Rain's casting in SPEED RACER and/or Tadanobu Asano's casting in BATTLESHIP. Hope it's a big break for these guys.

Maybe these fellows will get major roles? It's likely seeing how China's very eager to work with many movie studios nowadays.

 

Given Bay's track record, I doubt any Chinese actor will be given any major roles in the film that aren't stereotypical and/or stupid (looking at you, Ken Jeong). I'm hoping Hasbro is leaning on him to open up some roles for more minority faces (given the huge and largely untapped potential of a movie-going and toy-buying fan base in China, Asia, and abroad) but I'm not overly optimistic of those chances. But this particular actor seems to be of the pretty-boy variety, so that's a good sign, I think?

I think they're making two version of Transformers 4. A US version and a Chinese Version. I heard they did something similar with Iron Man 3. Like there are select scenes you will only see in the Chinese release of the movie.

 

Get the chinese girl called BingBing to be in the show,the 1 who acted in the Resident Evil.

 

It's really sad that the first thought that comes into my mind is "I bet they'll be insulting and stereotypical, if not racist, secondary characters". Michael Bay, you really need to work on fixing your terrible reputation for non-caucasian characters, I hope that TF4 is the start of him doing that.

 

We'll probably start hearing rumors about them once filming starts.

More like the movie studios pondering and appeasing to the Chinese Government to try to get their films a chance to the released in China, since it's such a huge market.

Unfortunately, all that ruined the main villain in Iron Man 3.

They did, but it didnt show up in the cut, so it was all for nothing.

Well, you should've allowed Marvel to cast a Chinese actor for the Mandarin then.

 

The chinese dub of TF4 will probably make these Chinese characters decent if they are wacky in the regular version.
