Even if G1 isn't really anime, it's obvious the Unicron Trilogy is anyway. And, really, even if G1 or any transfomers series WAS kinda anime(not saying it is or isn't, don't care) does it matter? Does it really change how anyone views the show? I mean I get if you're correcting them saying it isn't because they're obviously different or something, but it almost seems like you don't want it to be. But anyway, these do seem rather tokusatsu-like anyhow. Neat.

Too much cartoon classification debate. Not enough Brave-aesthetic fanboys rejoicing! GATTAI! :D

I'm sure it's mentioned already, but I wonder if the police car's robot mode backpack is mis-transformed, 'cuz that a big piece of kibble there.

I guess if TF GO! is getting its own exclusive show, I should probably take back my bitching about the combiners not fitting in with Prime stuff.:)

These combiners look cool. I'll admit that I'm not too keen on the normal Prime aesthetic, so seeing these combiners is a welcomed change.

Anyways, seeing how Predaking and the winged Prime are on this line, could it be that they'll pull a Headmaster/Masterforce with this? (meaning using the figures but doing their own storyline).

I'm hoping the show includes none of the Prime figures, that they are just being released under the TF:GO banner to finish out the releases. It would be so awesome if TF:GO was just a whole slew of original characters and figures (over-the-top Japanese sounds good to me!). Looking at those combiners gives me a similar feeling to when I saw the Car Robots prototypes way back when. Run wild, Takara, run wild! That's how some of the most intuitive designs come about, especially in regards to combiners.

Because of all the joints required to be basic legs, super legs and super arms all in one.

Um, no. While they did create the original Toys, Japan did not create the Transformers storyline. They did not create the story, they did not make up the character names, personalities, or concepts. The idea of the Autobots and Decpticons being sentient warring robots from the planet Cybertron was created and conceived of in the U.S..

The original G1 series was a U.S. production with animation grunt work farmed out to Toei Doga in Japan and Anikom in Korea. It was dubbed into Japanese the next year after seeing how much of success it was in the U.S.. It irks me to no end every time I run into an otaku who wants to watch G1 in 'original Japanese', and how Sunbow 'butchered' a wonderful anime.

From the sounds of it this series will be a movie and 6 bots. I may get them.
