BM is not really the same thing as what your suggesting, yeah it was a continuation, but is used all new models, and I can't help but think any new series after Prime, squeal or otherwise, would do so as well. If just to give the characters we can safely guess will be returning like Megatron, Starscream etc, new enough looks to help promote new toys.

They've already pushed the "new toy but based on the same model" thing with the second year of toys and I don't think thy're going to want to keep making "new toys that don't look like what the character models do" like in most of the BH toys.

 

yeah but you are referring to the rest of the prime series...the predacons are all new....they can go the repaint route on the voyagers and deluxes that are not getting the repaint / new head mold this route...and then interject new autobots and decepticons this next go around.

if predaking is kept as the predacon leader...then they can continue using the voyager and ultimate mold of him,

Yes but they released the first 3 in a chunk, bought themselves a few weeks by replaying those 3 before the 4th aired, and now we have another break.

They probably stopped after the 4th since it's a good stopping place.

ok the May 17 date is sad (a break already) but I welcome more Preds. I decided to collect all the Predicons in the BH line anyway so the more that show up on screen the better.

The folks making Transformers Prime don't even know if they'll be part of the next show--sure they're hopeful, but there are no guarantees.

I'd like to think that Polygon Pictures stays. Not just because they've done some amazing stuff and season 3 looks so much better than two, but because apparently they're fast and cheap! If cheap is what we need to keep CG animated shows moving forward, please stick with these guys Hasbro!

I recall reading here before the season started that there was going to be a break at the end of the story arc wrapping up the season two cliffhang

 

I was sold on Polygon Pictures being a good company for animation in general when I read that interview where the Prime writers said that Polygon employees worked OVERTIME to make up for the delays due to the accidents Japan suffered in 2011.

That's a lot of commitment to one's work, and people that care about what they do is always a delight to have in a project.

Um ... who said I wasn't enjoying it? I'm enjoying it quite a bit, thank you. I just have realistic expectations.

You can blame two things for this:

1) Hasbro basically sprang Beast Hunters on the show runners last minute, so they're having to change their plans and redo stuff. Oh sure, they could have delayed the premiere of the show even longer so you could go longer without breaks. Of course, then the show would start after the final wave of BH figures hit the shelves at earliest, and more likely after they'd left the shelves entirely.

2) Sweeps. The break ends around the time of sweeps. Gotta have those ratings boosts!

Outside of Optimus the "upgrades" and spiky armor are toy only.
