I'll have to wait till tomorrow to offer my opinion on if thats the case or not, unless we really get into spoiler territory. But that "any last words" image coupled with other the wording in the review seemed to spoil something...
Without trying to spoil anything, that image spoils nothing. Spoilers follow. You're warned, Spoiler Rewind dies. Chromedome is collapsed in mourning and grief. Not dead himself.
Spoiler I more meant the image of Rodimus getting asked for any last words, followed by the passage of text commenting how an out of place phrase in the last issue is addressed followed by the image of Overlord screaming No No No - Implying that "till all are one" is some kind of shutdown phrase as hinted at last issue and Rodiums says it
Spoiler Screw Rewind. IS COSMOS CONFIRMED DEAD?! But seriously, I think that is pretty sad. Much sadder than if Chromedome had died, in fact. =(
NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE I don't belive it! It's not true! I will not belive it until I see it!
From my quick reading, the death toll stands at: Spoiler Ultra Magnus, in one on one combat when Overlord reveals he was holding back, Pipes as seen in the Preview, and Rewind taking Overlord out in an escape pod/shuttle which is then blown up by the Lost Light
Spoiler But he's on the cover of #17! Maybe he'll get better? Rung got better! And Red Alert! Maybe....maybe... ;_;
As I said, the review did not DIRECTLY spoil anything. It did not LIST the dead or specifically describe Overlord's method of defeat. But it did everything BUT. It chose specifically suggestive images that coupled with what people had already WIDELY speculated to make it obvious to anyone who can connect A to B. (And, spoiler tags or not, did you REALLY have to just put everything out there like that? These creators work hard to sit on this stuff and tons of guys get the comics days and days early from IDW directly - some guys had it back at the weekend - so they can write and record their reviews and they all follow the honour system of not blabbing, even if a review like this one pushes every corner of the envelope it possibly can. I read the thing last night because I'm a retailer so I don't care for myself personally, but just outright SAYING it... TASKS me. It TASKS me.)
Does anyone know what time this is posted on comixology usually? I'm not busy at work tomorrow and feel like a crack head waiting for his hit.
He probably replies with Spoiler "'Til all are one." which leads to...stuff. NONONONONONONONNOONNONOONONONONONO WHY DO I KEEP READING YOUR SPOILERS
It's the next story arc after Drift's hissyfit next issue. Legislators on the cover suggest it anyway.
No, it was said to be a five-parter. #16-20. #21 is probably an "aftermath" issue, and setting up MTMTE's "second season." (especially with Shockpoint starting the very next month after that)
