What if Hasbro wanted to do new Deluxe molds of characters who already had a Spotlight issue? Megatron and Bumblebee had mini-series but they weren't classed as Spotlights.
i've just watched the youtube vid of the toyfair & Metroplex looks cool, Springers head sculpt looks fantastic & Blitzwing looks cool, the mega size Predaking looks cool too, Bumblebee has that old camaro look from bayverse plus him with Blazemaster harks back to the Armada line, the mega size BH Prime is looking good but i dunno what that circular thing on his back is supposed to be? BH Shockers looks great too & we finally get to see his tank mode, which looks a bit weird the only thing i can't get my head around is Megatron, his stealth jet we've seen before with Skystalker, dunno why they had to go with this & not something different. anyway all in all looking good mind you i noticed a couple of figs mistransformed on there, Airachnids head wasn't quite right & the mega size Prime with that ring thing on his back, one of his arms wasn't pegged in i'll prob get into trouble for this but here's the youtube vid for anyone who hasn't yet seen it
Well, Skystalker wasn't a stealth bomber, he was a drone, and like the other Deluxe figures, this Megatron is based on his IDW design. Really good representation of it too. Why do you think you would get in trouble for posting a Youtube video that's relevant to the topic of the thread?

The thread is forty-seven pages long, you're not going to get in trouble for posting a video, even if someone else already has.
Because he (as well as all the deluxes) is based on the current IDW designs: Thing is in comics every character currently has a design either based on their WFC/FOC game model or on already existing toys that can be found. So for Megatron instead of making another alien looking FOC style tank toy they decided to go with the only earth mode currently in fiction.
ok thanks mind you I noticed Shockers in there too on the vid of the toyfair dunno what his alt mode is though? or if it's just a space gun again the BH one is a weird looking tank
Based on that video, Blitzwing's alt-modes look a little troubling: pretty hollow in the back. Here's hoping they'll still peg together firmly. Also, has anyone been able to figure out if Bumblebee's chest is fake or not? Looks like it's definitely not made from the hood, but could be made from the rear part of the car's roof... but I can't tell for sure.
yeah I noticed that about Blitzwing too I just forgot to mention it oh & not sure if Blazemaster bolts onto the back of Bumblebees vehicle mode in the same way as Armadas Hot Shot
I just can't get over how awesome that Springer is! I really hope Igear comes through with that Impactor homage, I think those Roche face sculpts would look great together on the same shelf.
